    Just saw these odds
Interesting that Cotto Kirkland are so narrow
Canelo a wide favorite over Chavez

    They should be reversed.

Cotto is facing a glass jawed undisciplined fighter who isn't close to being on his level in terms of skill.

Canelo is moving up two weight divisions to take on an iron chinned pressure fighter who is 5 inches taller than him.

    These oddmakers DKSAB.

They're under estimating the very dangerous Chavez

Unless those are the odds for Chavez making weight

The Cotto odds I actually do understand. Kirkland in his prime was a nightmare fight for Cotto.... so even with James being past it and coming off a knock out loss, his size and power has potential to make it an interesting fight.

I think the Canelo odds are too wide, but will probably narrow a lot as time goes on and people really get to see how much bigger JR is.... those are almost tempting odds to take for JR lol.

The Weight is Chavez's Problem...Canelo will make it comfortably but for Chavez it will be a struggle...

Yeah many have suggested he comes in a few pounds overweight and take the financial hit, easier said then done when you think of the coin involved?

Isn't it like $1 mil a Lb? That's some pretty good incentive right there - WeightWatchers would approve.:D

If Chavez is smart he'll be more than prepared for this fight. Beating Canelo will boost him right back into the big money fights for a good while. He has the power and the chin. All he needs is the discipline to develop his skill set and he could be among the top 15-20 fighters in the world. Interested to see how things unfold for him in the future.

In the UK Cotto is 1/5 to win the fight outright, with Kirkland 10/3. While Canelo is 2/15 and Chavez Jr 9/2.

Both are garbage fights, of course Cotto and Canelo are heavy favorites.
