Cotto: 50 million for three fights

Good for Miguel. He has always delivered great performances.....win or lose. he deserves to be paid for he efforts to be a warrior for the fans even if it means taking risks to go for the KO. Cotto delivers!

 

In essence, the Cotto situation defines the primary problem with boxing. Cotto has had a great career. He sells tickets. He has shied away from no one. However, people in the fight game knew what kind of shape Martinez was in prior to making the fight. Good for Cotto for being able to deliver. He took the title from a physically compromised Maritinez. He has nothing more to prove but if he is going to monopolize the MW title he has to defend it. Walk away or step in their with the one who truly deserves the shot, and that is GGG.

 

Once again, its not just 50 million that Cotto is working with. This dude might end up making up to 100 million dollars from these negotiations.

 

The same can't be said for the guy signing him(if this story is true).

 

Yeah Cotto, just jump through this guy's hoops or suffer the wrath of his endless whining...I trust you'll make the right decision...

I think that Roc Nation is banking on his New York appeal and I'm pretty confident that he will fight Canelo in New York which will just about or pay the 50 million and the other two fights will be gravy.
