No. Vargas doesn't or didn't punch like Cotto, in terms of technique.

You act as if trinidad never beat any pure boxers. Trinidad ate fighters like Cotto for breakfast. Ask Vargas.

They both have different postures and throw punches totally different. But there body build is similar. I thought the same thing at first. But if you watch a Vargas fight they fight nothing alike.

The thing with Tito. Is his plan A....it just takes one hook and it is OVER.... Cotto at his best could probably out point Tito. But Tito could mos def take him out with a left hook.

Well, the best two fighters Cotto beat are Zab and Mosley. I would have loved to have seen Tito fight Mosley back in the day. Throw Tito at his prime at the 147 and I don't think Cotto could beat him. Cotto has not proven that he could beat someone at that size and the volume of punches Tito use to use. Let's wait until the result of the Margarito fight. Tito is called one dementional, at 147 he had his way especially with smaller fighters. I don't know, it is too soon to compare Cotto to Tito. Jeez, we are off topic.

I know your not going to like this, but Cotto's plan B is hitting below the belt if he gets hurt. This is fact, but I will tell you that I would do whatever it took not to get knocked out. Remember, I said knocked out, not win. Hitting below the belt, spitting out your mouth piece, and having your corner loosen your tape on your wrist. Fortunately for me, I have never been knocked out, but dropped. The body shot always gets me.

I understand that, no need to cry about it. What I don't understand is how the talent pool in other divisions effects how skilled the era he fought in was.

Tito has done it in the past too. The Zab fight. Cotto would not call it dirty. Sometimes you got to do what you caught to do. Is it dirty? Corrales spit out his mouth piece for the Castillo fight to buy him some seconds. Believe me, seconds are like minutes in the fight game. Is it dirty. Even Joe C. admitted to hitting low. I am not singaling Cotto as the only boxer who has done what he has to do. Oh, yes we all know he is a great body puncher and he throw alot of body punches, but those low blows came when he got hurt. Alot of fighters do and get away with it and some don't.
