Though he has a good resume, I don't think so. Margarito will be considered far past his best by the time they step into the ring, especially considering the beatdown Pacquiao put on his ass. Not to mention the fact that Cotto went life or death with Clottey (same size, not in the top 100 P4P) and just got destroyed by Pacquiao.
He was coming off a lost to Margarito.Maybe it wastn his best fight but he is still a 3 weight world champion i think id put him 10-13
He probably won't reach the top 10, but then again, he only lost to the P4P number 1 and to a cheater. Not really fair.
:yep U R either a hater or just don't know much about the sport. Cotto beat Clottey after an early eye injury which he could've given to the judges if he wanted too (and win easily) and lost to pacquiao in a fight which could've easily finished by dec., ... a dec. against the top P4P, and a man who refused to get tested by the most accurate testing there exists in this sport, OR ANY SPORT!! Any intelligent answers??
Losing a decision to Pac is impressive now? You mean like Pac's last 2 opponents impressively got a decision against him? And let's not forget Cotto did not get a decision, he was TKOed. And lame excuses don't account for his life or death struggle with Clottey, sorry.
COtto fought for 10 rounds with a cut eye and still managed a decision...i thought clottey won the fight but he has been known to headbutt...margo had loaded gloves...Cotto is still a top guy at 154
I have him 15 now and took a lot of heat for not having him higher. I wouldn't raise or drop him if he were to win UD's against Mayorga and Margarito.
with those 2 fighters, no, but if he beat serg, hail yea....wouldn't mind seeing miguel crush berto's dreams, or make pwil go back to dreamland.....shoot with all the crying shane and joshua have done miguel should fight and put a beat down on them to clear the smoke
