You do have a point there Turbo, After that beating Cotto took from Margo and the tough fight with Clottey, I don't think mentally he was 100%.

Its pretty clear they were waiting to see how Cotto looked in the clottey fight, because Mosley, who was the champ at the time, was looking to fight Pac but Roach and Pac didn't want it.

So they went after Cotto who had been recently beaten up instead.

You guys are acting like Cotto is a victim. He agreed to the weight and that's that. He doesn't sound like he's making excuses so I don't know why guys are trying to make excuses for him.

The guy was in a funk and while that still dosent take away the loss and I'm in no way discrediting pacs fine performance you can't deny this was a deprecitiated version of cotto.

Dzinziruk, who he beat the hell out of. And don't even try to say Dzinziruk doesn't have an elite jab.

He may have struggled, but the problem was more mechanical than anything else.

But he moved up to 160 to fight Sergio. He fought well, but was outclassed and out muscled.

That would apply just as much to Cotto whether at 154 or 160. And Martinez was outjabbing Dzinziruk that entire fight, not bullying him on the inside.
