You're wrong on so many counts with this statement, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, since I doubt you understand the intricities of intelligent pressure fighting.

Considering you said that Mayweather would beat Cotto easily, I'm going to assume that you're basing this prediction off of what you saw against Hatton.

Well, perhaps you should focus on what you DIDN'T see.

That's what Cotto will do that Hatton didn't. That's what Cotto has been doing consistantly against top level boxers, something that Hatton has neglected to fight.

Mayweather said he's taking a "long break". I wouldn't plan on fighting him either if he says he's not going to be fighting in the near future...

Mayweather also said he was done with the sport after the De La Hoya fight.

After the Hatton fight, on the possibility of fighting again, he said "well if the money is right, who knows?".

If he thinks he's bored with boxing, how about him not training and preparing for a fight for the first time since childhood?

    He'll fight again in 2008.

If he can cope with Zab Judah's speed he can cope with Floyd's.. PBF will still win in my eyes though..

Most markerable prob because May Jr. said he wants to take a year off & will be out of the picture & fools will be attracted to this fight, vs Cotto fighting a Paul Williams or Margarito, whom would be more of a threat.

Cotto isn't scared to fight anyone, he'd probably fight a Heavyweight if that's who he was told to fight. A warrior.

I don't think Floyd wants to fight Cotto at this point. He will let Cotto win a few more fights againts other names so he attracs even more money and then he will fight him.

I've just tried to ignore this post ^^ like everyone else, but just could not help it. Tito's time is over ...only a washed up like Roy Jones Junior would consider Tito A Class Contender, don't get me wrong Tito is a legend, Cotto is the Future. Cotto Vs Tito nothing more than a waste of sweat for Miguel that is..

Cotto already beat a great fighter in Mosley. That should be enough.

That's about the size of it - Oscar is a more winnable fight for more money. Can't say I blame Cotto for going in this direction.

I agree, but I would rather see him face Mayweather.

Cotto wants to show the world on how to kick an old mans ass since Floyd would not want to take a fight with him and Floyds excuse "I want to get going with my promotion" what a b.s excuse

Gee, considering FLOYD'S IMMEDIATE 2nd RETIREMENT after Hatton? Why would Cotto or Top Rank expect a fight BEFORE next summer be POSSIBLE? Floyd said he NEEDS A VACATION:good

So? They will not waste valuable time and allow Mayweather to derail or hold back Cotto's career. Whats the next biggest dollar amount, with the highest exposure value, and paralell to a Mayweather fight? Oscar De La Hoya!! Cotto thens beats SSM and DLH which is something Floyd didnt do. Add wins over Judah, Quintana and Urkal also at 147. It most certainly assures that Cotto has fought better opposition at 147 to that point than PBF.

It will INCREASE Cotto's bank account, exposure, and LEGACY:yep
Then, by say late next year, WHY NOT PBF vs Cotto? Floyd isnt UNDISPUTED without Cotto and Williams. Cotto deserves theshot first due to beating a higher quality of opposition.

Floyd fans are seriously twisted:yep A guy does what's in his best interest financially and legacy wise while FLOYDS NOT AVAILABLE an what? We're supposed to think he doesnt want Floyd?:rofl OK:good :nut

We didnt hear Floyd say, Cotto OR ANYONE, we heard "Imma retire from the sport and not let the sport retire me" I heard it's his new radio single off his next album:lol: Which features his lyrical terror "I'm the **** talkinest" which is blazing the underground scene:rofl Go check out floyd's youtube disgrace for a freestyle preview. MONEY MAY in the Hizzzy:cool:

:yikes .....:barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf :barf
