At least for the prestigious latinamerican sports journal/site ¨Primerahora¨ P4P list updated March, 30 http://www.primerahora.com/losmejores10libraporlibra-630663.html 1. Floyd Mayweather Jr. 2. Manny Pacquiao 3. Sergio Martínez 4. Juan M. Márquez 5. Miguel Cotto 6. Andre Ward 7. Nonito Donaire 8. Lucian Bute 9. Wladimir Klitschko 10. Tim Bradley All in all a reasonable list, but the presence of Bute and Cotto ahead of people like Wlad or Hopkins bugs me a little. What do you think about the list? Yay or nay?
Cotto is a bit High but i have no problem with either on the list. there are 5 or 6 guys i would consider for the last two spots and the are both there.
Haha. Cotto above Ward is utterly comical, I'm not sure he is even top 10 right now, just outside more likely. Bute at the lower end is OK, but Wlad should be ahead.
Bute on any P4P list is a joke, the guy has hid in his backyard fighting stiffs his entire career, has never faced an elite fighter in his division much less any other division.
Bute? Who has he fought? Donaire has beaten just little Flyweights , and Martinez beat Williams, and Pavlick on his way to an AA meeting.
Cotto is #13 Bute is #17 in my opinion. My P4P Top 100: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=373863
How the hell does Cotto become a P4P from beating losers like Margarito and Mayorga? First he got a hell of a beating from the Margarito first fight, then he got embarrassed badly from the Pacquiao fight. There's no highlight win for him afterwards. His last significant win was against Mosley in 2007 and his supposedly lost fight against Clottey in 2009. Nothing else So which fight made him P4P? :think
