I'll admit that Cotto looked great against Martinez, but how about we let Cotto fight a top MW or two who are in good health before we start billing him as a top MW.... And how about we actually let Canelo fight at MW before we start billing him as a top MW.

 

Cotto isnt small hes just short. So many people confuse height with size.

Anyone who says Cotto should avoid GGG is really saying that Cotto should drop his MW belt. If you arent going to fight the best in your division you should not be champion, period. Cotto should fight Rubio, the winner of GGG/Geale, or failing that Canelo if he beats Lara and moves up as a former 154 champ.

Otherwise, drop the pretenses at being champion at 160.

What is it with people's obsession with height? Height don't mean **** if you don't have the skills to back it up. Either you do or you don't.

K2 made it clear they would offer 50/50 plus half GGGs HBO guarantees.....Ward has been suing for the sole purpose of wanting Al Haymon to negotiate his fights and move him back to Showtime

Cotto had to use a catchweight to win the Middleweight belt and he and Roach will continue to disgracefully use them in the future. Catchweight fights don't count.

 

lineal? At a catchweight? That makes the title not legitimate. And illegitimate title once a catchweight is there, even one or two pounds.

Part 1: That's a little dramatic. Alvarez literally only has had his last 2 fights above 154.

Part 2: He obviously should have moved up to MW because he just won the lineal title. He can vacate it and no one will blame him. He still gets full props for the achievement.

 

Golovkin would murder Cotto, no contest...................but Cotto will not come near Golovkin, Martinez refused to fight Golovkin, so Golovkin will fight Geale, then a possible fight with Soliman who beat Sturm, still, HBO wants Golovkin Vs. Cotto, but Roach knows better............

 

indeed, its a considerable difference in size but at the end of the day Cotto is the lineal mw champ so it doesn't really matter his size. Cotto could've been a small guy like Pac, still it would've not matter. Once you're the MW champ u have to fight the other champs out there (GGG, Quillin or Soliman) regardless how small or big you are.:good

 

He weighed 161 against Martinez....Im pretty sure he could sweat 1lb. So He'd be a MW.
