Not unless you think he is afraid of guys with big shiny belts.

We fickle fans also criticize fighters for avoiding the best fighters and pursuing cheezy belts just for the sake of it, so I'd say it matters not.

I agree Bailey. Not everyone does. But I guess that's what makes ESB such a dynamic and wonderful place. To share is to love.

Cotto is a good fighter but he is far from an atg fighter he is not even a modern great, when you compare himto the likes of Hopkins, rjj, Tito, dlh, pacman, mayweather, and so on. I would say one of the most understated and most telling knocks against him is that he has never at any time in his career been recognized as an undisputed champion in any weight class, he has merely been a abc titlist and his biggest victory was a slightly contraversial one over mosley. Cotto is a classy guy but not nearly the fighter his fans want him to be he is very overrated on these forums

I admit Cotto hasnt had the career of most of the fighters you mentioned, They are ATGs but I would say I think you could argue his career resume with Hopkins in alot of ways, but remember Pacquiao also has some losses and its possible there could be (I say could be) some contraversy to Cottos 2 losses

Agreed. Plus most champs aren't undisputed nowadays.
