He got 1$ more AND PPV sales.

Also, when he was offered 8 million he had just split from Arum and Arum wanted options on his next few fights and would give Mayweather less money for bigger challenges.

again, beside the point. everybody knew then that margo was the biggest threat to pbf at that time. and he openly said no to a fight against him.

dude, you are the pbf fanboy so you tell me. when has he fought a fighter whom you knew had a legit chance in beating floyd.

Well HBO put Baldomir fight on PPV. Margarito-Floyd wasn't going to be PPV.

When are you going to answer my question.

I want to know exactly when you think Floyd started cherry picking.

in my opinion, the last fighter pbf fought who had a shot at beating him was jlc. how about you?

Floyd has cherry picked after JLC.. yet he has only promoted himself for the past 3 fights.

Arum promoted him up until the baldomir fight.

Also, 140? Don't even get me started, no one wanted to fight Floyd at 140. No one.

Zoo was fighting for Showtime, Hatton declined. Cotto was deemed too green.

And then to top it off. Floyd wanted a title and the only available *best available* was Gatti, and the WBC forced Mayweather to go through TWO title eliminators in order to fight Gatti for his WBC title.

Go look on boxrec, WBC eliminators.

maybe you're right but then against maybe not. there's a whole lot that happens behind closed doors that you and i will never know. amybe arum chose opponents he knew pbf could handle, then maybe not.

answer this why does pbf not fight the best at 147? heck, why does he fight a real welterweight? why pick jmm?

the thread asked why cotto and shane do not get as much **** as pbf when they challenge smaller guys like pac. my answer is that becuase they've fought bigger fighters not named oscar de la hoya. pbf has not fought a legit welter outside baldomir.

fighting jmm does not prove **** for pbf. the whole world knows your boy is good. the reason why he gets hated on is because he chooses not to fight opponents who could challenge him. jmm is a great fighter but he should not be fighting at 144. i personally do not think pbf should get hated on for wanting to fight pac because it is a fight i want to see and i think pac could beat pbf

    Cotto is busy.

Mosley declined to fight Mayweather who wanted money to fight Mosley straight out of his retirement.

Let me ask you this, why are you pressing for Mayweather to fight Cotto or Mosley after 18 months layoff but if Floyd fought Cotto or Mosley after they had an 18 month layoff people and you would be shitting bricks.

Floyd is a not legit WW himself. Just because Mosley and Cotto have fought bigger does not mean they don't deserve to be critized like Mayweather is.

Mayweather-Marquez/Pac size difference is WAY smaller than mayweather-Cotto/Mosley difference, but no one complains about that.

Let alone the fact that Pac-Cotto/Mosley is a HUGE size difference.

    Fighting JMM easily proves something.

JMM fought and arguably beat Pacquaio twice. Hatton and DLH didn't even make it 12 with him.

Here's the thing, besides Floyd fighting Williams, Floyd is going to be favored over everyone he faces. So he is going to be cherry picking according to you.

no he is not. if he faces cotto or mosley, i would not say he is cherry picking. many wont say he is cherry picking if he said he'll fight the winner of cotto-clottey or mosley instead of choosing to fight jmm at 135.

no it does not prove anything. jmm will not beat pbf. everyone knows this. he challenged pbf to **** on pac's parade by not calling him out. jmm fought pac at 126 and 130, you say he beat him, i say pac should have won twice. so what? he still is a champ at 135 and pbf is not fighting weight drained like how pac fought de la hoya so its not the same.

fighting jmm at 140 could have proved something, fighting him at 144 is moot

do you think jmm has a snowball's chance in hell in beating pbf? if not then what will he prove in defeating a fighter that does not stand a chance against him?
