Cotto at 147 is the better option for Pac's legacy: 7th title

There will be excuses no matter what after Pac loses. That is why if he wants to fight small guys then he should fight small guys and stop tring to get big guys to fight small.

I guess that I will never agree with that, I have alwasy been one that hated catchweight crap. You dont step up by wanting others to step down. I could just imagine all the crap that a more hated fighter would get if they were doing all this drop down to fight me crap that Pac and Arum are pulling.

Tu shay. Arum is a master manipulator. But I trust that Roach is sincere in his interest for Pac to fight any of these guys as long as it's at a compromising weight. All of these fights are huge events for big money and Roach has stated time and again that big money fights are the priority. Obviously PBF represents the biggest payday so I'm inclined to believe that a Pac-PBF fight would be Roach's preference.

 

Oscar never needed to come down to 145. The fact that he made it down to 145 shows that he was not struggling as bad as people think to make the weight.

The contracted weight was 147.

 

bing bing...this is the problem. Pac fans would like to see Pac in no lose situation. I want to see him in fights were its bad if he loses, but still good if he wins. Fighting guys like cotto, floyd and Mosley would be a case of "Oh well I got my ass raked, Ill just drop back down like nothing happened"

I recall just a short time ago that people were calling for Floyd to move up and fight Pavlik at 160 not 152. Or Jones to fight the Klits. But its ok for those fighters to come down to pac??? Unfair advantage my ass, if you want to fight them then go get'm.

 

you never seen the Klitsckos calling out Mosley, or Pavlik calling out Mayweather. These guys (Cotto, Sgar, and PBF) really do want to fight Pac.

 

Not according to his and arums comments. Making comments like Floyd time has pasted. And it would be a boring fight, or its too hard to look good fighting Floyd. I think that floyd is the one of the three that could be made even at 142 and floyd would still be strong, and fast.

 

Not according to the "Roach tells Arum Screw Cotto" thread. It sound like Roach wants PBF. I also think that talking Cotto up is partly sincere but also part strategy to gain leverage in future negotiations with PBF.

 

pac is the one being called-out by those big guys. if those big guys wants a shot at pac, they should meet pac at least half-way. when pac was not this big, he was the one always moving-up in weight against barrera, morales, oscar and hatton. now, he is the man and he calls the shots on who and where he should fight them.

i'm sure pac would fight them at whichever weight they are. but roach has to protect his man. like it or not, pac is a small 140 and fighting these guys at 147 who would be 160 at fight night would be too much of size disadvantage for pac.
