JMM 2K12 beats Cotto, with a stoppage plausible. Cotto isn't replicating a Bradley type of athletic outstyling, and I've never been too sold on him in his reverse gear. He'd want to fight to his general strengths against the smaller man, which would lead him into Juan's wheelhouse. In a long to mid-range fight, where both men most excel, we're talking very good vs. great. There are certain leaks in Cotto's defense that Marquez would plug with his fists. Cotto is tack-sharp, but Juan is razor-sharp and constitutionally superior. Cotto would bust up and do well to finish.

Williams would have had his moments, but I'd have to back Cotto to handle him with more attractive work while weathering a share of licks due to Williams' output. Cotto had a decent general understanding of unorthdox fighters and a nuanced grasp of how to move the feet to negate their accustomed advantages that extended beyond the old and basic 'get your lead foot on the outside of his' platitude, which, being a converted lefty himself, I guess evolved from a need to find ways to bring his strong hand into play against southpaws.

Cotto beats Hulquez. Too big, and movement was Hulquez's kryptonite. Cotto has great footwork.

Cutting the ring and in the center of it, absolutely. But Juan can handle movement in the center of the ring, having intelligent feet of his own (was adept at hiding slight changes of angle). It's the more athletic, rangy lateral movers that trouble him, and Cotto was never that cute in reverse gear (I also doubt he'd want to seem negative against the smaller man, and would likely seek to assert physical superiority).

That said, I wouldn't completely rule Cotto out. I'd just be mildly surprised if he pulled it off.

Williams destroys Cotto, although I think Cotto would outpoint Marquez rather easily.
