I saw the fight again tonight. Mayweather won easily enough. Cotto had some good points in rounds, but Mayweather controlled it with his defense and faster punching.

I focused on the fight totally tonight. Different than on fight night where you look for big punches to land to change the momentum of the fight. When I saw it as an objective observer to see who won rounds Floyd won easier than I thought. He was getting hit but controlling the action. And in round 12 he hurt Cotto badly.

not again. . . let it be. . Floyd won, and won pretty convincingly. . Yes, Cotto came to fight, and made it competitive in spots. . . His stock rose, or at least stayed the same. . . Really was a win-win for everybody: fans, and both boxers.

I thought it was about a draw. The guy from the LA Times scored it 115-113 for Cotto.

Cotto was much more aggressive and Floyd looked like the loser at the end of the fight with his bloody lip and bloody nose. Judges cards were way off.

You wonder how much Mayweather's stock dropped with fans after this fight. The illusion of dominance dropped quite a bit, from what I gathered from friends who saw the fight.

Also, if Cotto was able to bloody Mayweather up and easily drive him into the ropes, what would Pacquiao do?

The one thing I felt after the fight was that there is no way Floyd will ever step into a ring with Pacquiao. Kind of sad, but that was my thought after the fight ended.
