If Pacman wins Mayweather will just destroy another little man & continue saying he is the greatest when in reality he isnt! Then he would continue fighting nobodys & continue sayin he's the best. On the other hand if Cotto wins Mayweather will be backed into a corner. Either fight Cotto or Mosley either way he finally fights a true Welterweight that can actually challenge him. So my opinion is id rather see competition 4 years to come than one Mega fight and then nothing else!!!

I think it would be better. Pac plans on retiring soon anyways. A Cotto win should mean that Floyd should fight him, and that could get things going in the WW div. again.

Pac winning is better. Pac/Mayweather is the biggest fight in boxing right now, BY FAR.

How could you say that Pac isn't a Welter if he were to beat Cotto for the WBO Welterweight belt? Pac isn't all that small. He walks around at about 150 lbs. I'm sorry, but two wins at WW, and a WW title is enough to be considered a welter. Pac vs. Mayweather is the biggest fight that can be made in boxing.

Pac/FMJ would be better, not only money wise for both fighters but to settle once and for all who the P4P king is. Settle it in the ring, not what fans think will happen. Of course, only if Pac beats Cotto.

Maybe money wise... But not skill/size wise.

Best for boxing would be Mayweather Vs. Mosley/Cotto.

I am not sure which is better

but I would rather see him fight Cotto, i feel it would be more competitive

in the end he will fight the winner and thats how it should be

Money wise Mayweather vs. Pac is bigger, but if Cotto can KO Pac, then Cotto vs. Mayweather will be the biggest mega fight out there!

7th title in 7 weight divisions is historical and unprecedented. No one in our lifetime can accomplish that. Best for boxing for a future ATG!!!! :deal:nono

Id rather see one mega fight now and worry about waiting for another mega fight later than never to see this mega fight(pac/pbf) at all:bbb

PAC beating Cotto would be greater for boxing.... Why? Another boxing record will be established... PAC will become the only boxer in history to get titles in 7 different weight divisions... It's a phenomenal achievement and I think that record will be very difficult to break or surpass...

PAC is also the only boxer to hold 4 lineal titles...

    A fight between #1 p4p versus #2 p4p? which can top that?

The only thing that an top that is a fight between p4p #1 versus former p4p #1, which more of the same anyway.

Not here. Depending on the circumstances; Pacquiao loses and the size issue will taint Cotto's accomplishment. It would of course do alot of things for Cotto, but I could easily see the fairweather contingent writing it off as easily as I could see them buying into it.

His last fight he weight in at 138. His fight vs oscar, he weight in at 142. Tell me one ww that can make 138? damn sure sugar, berto, floyd, clottey, cotto can't. he's not a ww. hatton beat luis collazo, does that make him a ww? i think not, even hatton will tell you that

i agree with the poster. he should fight someone his own size.
