I saw both fights. And Oscar was noticeably declined from the fighter that fought Floyd. Not only was he slower, and poorer defensively, he had to come down in weight to 150. Which probably had a great deal negative effect on him. The lowest he had fought at in almost a decade.

Obviously the weight shift had a negative impact.

Cotto is one of the most overrated fighters on ESB. Take away a narrow win over Mosley where he had to run for the last 2 rounds to win, and he really has nothing in his career of note.

He was beaten up by smaller B level fighters at 140. Then at 147 got beat up a bunch more times. was even running from Clottey in their fight. then struggles to beat a shot to pieces Mayorga.

DLH that Floyd fought, stops him. Too big, too powerful, too skilled for Cotto.

If you're the judge then I'll consider myself ahead. Don't try and pass yourself off non bias fan... every viewpoint you've ever had seems to support the same line of thinking.

Just like every other *****, you believe certain things to 100% certainty that support your personal biases.. yet anything that goes against what you want, you disregard completely with 100% certainty.

Is this how intelligent people think? NO

I don't disagree that Floyd would beat Cotto... but it wouldn't be an easy fight for Floyd. That's not the point of this thread though.

Wouldn't you agree that Castillo gave Floyd more trouble than any fighter in his career? And although I believe Floyd won both fights (1st fight narrowly), that Castillo style, of pressure, body punching, focused attack with the left hook... is very similar to big welters like Margarito or even Cotto... Floyd never tested himself against these types of guys...

In your dreams man, you have some of the worst writing skills I have ever seen for someone supposedly working on their masters. McDonalds University doesn't count my man.

DLH is Mexican, you know that right? Surprised to see Mexican fans avidly supporting him? It's quite normal, you just can't pass them off as not being influenced by their bias.

Go ahead, pull the ol' "HE'S RACIST" card... even though you're the one who has made posts about the superior black athletes and how good you are at sports ... etc etc.

They said because Castillo gave Floyd a tough fight that Hatton, Baldomir and Marquez were going to be difficult for Floyd
obviously that's BS, but that's what people were saying before those fights

Looks like those thousands you put into your grad school education couldn't teach you confidence. Try demanding a partial refund?

The village idiot is trying to give advice to others on how to be smart.:patsch

What I see in you is someone who realizes how wrong he is but is denying it to save face. Being wrong doesn't feel good, so you slowly cave in bit by bit via posting philosophical confucious bull**** about your 50% certainty hoping it'll cover up your **** up. Your story slowly changes over time because you know its not true.

Floyd was 24 years old, coming up in weight for the first time, fighting the best lightweight of his era, with an injury. You can take nothing from that fight
Castillo is vastly more skilled then Margarito. He's faster of foot, better defensively and isnt just a big plodder. Floyd UD's Margarito 12-0 easy.

Cotto is about as skilled as Castillo, maybe more so. But he doesnt have the toughness Castillo had nor would he have the significant size advantage. They would be about the same size. And if Cotto cant impose his size and strength on Mayweather, then its a battle of skill. And Mayweather dominates that area.

Corrales and Castillo are just as accomplished if not moreso then these two fighters. De La Hoya and Mosley are vastly superior to these two fighters.

It's called ignorance... and you just summed up how ignorant you are in the rest of that pathetic post. Not that I have in this case, but you believe someone changing their own views to be a sign of stupidity ? You believe that someone who believes something to 100% is good, because it shows confidence?

People once were 100% certain that the world was flat.
People once were 100% certain that the sun went down because they didn't shed enough blood that day.
People once believed many things to 100% ... but it was good, because it showed confidence right?

The fact that people are unwilling to be open minded and even possibly change their personal beliefs is what is wrong with the world today. People like this are the reason why over 50% of republicans in Alabama believe interracial marriage should be illegal.

I could go on for days about how the ignorant way of thinking that you just claimed to be your own is the bane of society. But, I have a BBQ to with my fiance... and you'll just post some more stupid **** about how I'm dumb, or I'm racist... It's sad because I feel that if I met you in real life, you wouldn't even be that dumb... but on here, you have some sort of obsession with ONE fighter, and it influences every viewpoint you have.

Its an internet forum. I was reading past a college level in the 3rd grade.

You accuse everyone of supporting fighters based on race. That makes you a bigot at the very least.

you should have stopped with too big. the oscar that floyd fought has nothing to offer but his size. maybe a little more power since his bigger but the skill we saw during his prime was nowhere to be seen. cotto was the more skillful guy by that time.

and i think you ignored my last post. can that version of oscar bring the relentlessness of margarito and pacquiao, the only two boxers to ever beat that version of cotto?
