Cotto beats Hatton at any weight

Your wasting your time. Talking to these Hatton zealots is like talking to a tin of beans. They harp on about the magnificent diffrence of 7lbs as though they actually have a basis for a debate on a diffrence of 7lbs. While there at it why not debate Hatton Cotto at 35. Neither has made that weight both and would be skeletans.:roll: Also theres Wlad vs Hatton at 140 too providing Wlad can chop half of his body off. None of them have been aware of the fact that Cotto was a beast at 140 and has succesfully moved up to 47 and is STILL a beast. Styles make fights that is all that is neccesary here.

I think that it's a pick 'em at 140 - with Hatton maybe slightly more likely to win (because of Cotto being weight drained). At 147 it's an annihilation in Cotto's favour.

 

One thing that I find interesting is that Hatton fans say that hatton did not carry weight well from 140 to 147 but give no consideration to Castillo not carrying weight well from 135 to 140

 

Why would they consider that? Castillo was P4P didnt you know!?!?:roll:

 

Fair enough, but Castillo had clearly outgrown 135 by a significant amount, and showed he could no longer make the weight no matter how hard he tried.

 

You don't keep growing in your 30's. Castillo's inability to make the weight came from his body breaking down physically after years and years of hard battles and making weight. he looked like **** in his fight right before Hatton and it was clear to anyone that he was shot going into the Hatton fight. This was not the same case as with Tzyu when Ricky was an underdog going in and people tried to switch up afterwards and say that Tzyu was shot. Ricky was like a 4-1 betting favorite going into the fight because it was clear that Castillo had nothing left at this point.

 

People don't debate Tyson and Hatton, because Tyson was never a 140 fighter.

Cotto used to be a 140 fighter only a couple of years ago and both guys have fought at 147, it's a legit debate.

 

7 lbs has done Cotto the world of good at 140 Torres had him out on his feet and Demarcus Corley had him doing a Judah. At 147 even a big banger like Zab struggled to hurt him. Miguel somehow survived against Torres at 140 but he wouldn't against Hatton who for me is a class above Ricardo. At 147 the 5'6 Hatton with his short arms and reliance on work up close would struggle to make a dent in Cotto and get stopped.

Wait, I've always maintained that the Castillo win didn't measure up to much.

 

Except Torres has called out hatton on a few occasions and Hatton has yet to answer. Torres WOULD BEAT HATTON!! Hatton is sssooo overrated its a joke. He has compiled a record of wins over bums overseas. He looks terrible everytime he steps up in comp. Torres would own Hatton.

 

In that case I'm not refering to you. Only the Hatton fans that try to talk up the Castillo win like it was something big.
