I think Cotto beats Williams, but it wouldn't be all that easy. A southpaw with that kind of height and punch output would be a handful for any welterweight.

 

Styles make fights. I think Cotto still presents a huge problem for anyone in the division. He was throwing bombs last night.

That said, I haven't seen anything to suggest Williams can't take a punch. And he's been in there with some bangers.

I think he CAN beat Williams, not easy though.

I just made the same thread. These guys think because Williams beat Marg he can now beat Cotto, lol yea good luck standing up to those bombs Cotto throws.

just like some one posted earlier , Paul stood up to the bomb of margarito and gave some back ,, cotto was not able to do so ..

Paul prevailed cotto failed how are you going to knock the mans win.
Clotty was able to hang in there with one hand and lose on point with out getting stopped.

 

Williams would beat Cotto as well. Cotto can't keep himself from planting his feet, he would pay for that dearly, again. Williams would land far more clean and effective shots on Cotto than Margarito did. Not as hard, but hard enough to hurt Cotto. Williams by TKO.

 

wrong. margarito didnt hit williams round after round like he did to cotto last night. cotto and margarito beat williams, no doubt. williams cant take those hit cotto was throwing last night

 

Indeed, good point. Cotto's vulnerability revealed itself. He's extremely prone to damage and always has been. Clottey, BTW, took way more punishment than Cotto and still saw the final bell.
