Let's float the idea of Tinidad coming to the rescue of the Puerto Rico's pride I think he is more suitable for Margo we all know he got trouble with boxers but Margo is taylor made for him straightup I think Tito got better stamina than Cotto and lot's firepower with those left hooks he is about the same size of Margo.
He took Margo's best shots which Cotto couldn't. Also PW is bigger than Margo. Williams by UD or TKO.
Williams beats Cotto easy. The man throws fast punches and averages 100 punches per round while moving and have a dahlism like reach.
Although I do believe that Cotto could beat Williams I don't think that Williams' ability to take shots would be the desiding factor. Williams is a huge ******* and unlike Tommy hearns and other huge *******s he has a pretty good chin. Carlos Qunitana out boxed Williams. Its a dangerous fight for Cotto but he could do the same. Lets just put it this way. Williams is faster and bigger then MArgo. And could apply his own pressure to Cotto. He would be a handful. He had the size and strength to absorb Margo's shots. I would assume he could do the same with Cotto's shots.
william and Clotty took the same big shot from margartio that cotto did ,and were able to see the final bell , with minimum damage,we all new that if Cotto traded with Margarito he would lose.. as keller pointed out last night cotto appears to be the harder puncher but he is not as durable as margarito william and Clotty are bigger, stronger and more durable then Cotto it appears .
Yup. And thats what makes fights between Cotto and these guys appealing as well. I would love to see Cotto go after Williams or Clotty. They are interesting match-ups.
I'm not so sure Williams can take the clean punches Margarito did. Williams doesn't protect his body like Margarito does, with his elbow tucked to the side. Williams is a much bigger target and not as hard a hitter as Margarito.
And got ****ed up!!! Maybe some height and size will help him next time. PW took it and won a decision. Go drink some brewskies and accept the Cotto loss.
