So what I wanna know from the Mayweather haters is if he fights Cotto will we hear the same excuses should he beat him....

Cotto was at 140 when Floyd and Ricky was at 140

He moves up to 147 and wins a few fights and a title no different from Ricky who walks around at 160+ so really whats the difference???

because hatton aint a natural ww,while cotto is a bigger man than hatton and he really struggled to make the last few fight a lww often sacrificing his power.cotto is a different animal at 147 than 140.

Which makes my point even more valid will it count as a victory against a true welterweight because the complaint for Floyd is that he's avoiding true welterweights

He looks a lot taller than hatton. I would have loved to see hatton fight cotto at 140. I would still rather see Cotto and hatton at 147 which will be a great fight. Hatton does not struggle to get down to 140, whatever you don't listen to warren because it his all sour grapes. Because even Billy Graham hattons trainer says he his a natural lightwelterweight.

True...which is why if Floyd beats Hatton (i have no doubt that he will) should his win be discredited because Ricky fought his last fight at 140. IMO it helps his legacy a ton. Ricky is one of the best fighters out there period and I don't think people should throw Cotto's name out there so reckless in regards to Floyd fighting a natural welterweight because Miguel Cotto is not.

If mayweather does beat hatton which as a brit I hope he does not, why should it go against his record because hatton is the recognised 140 champion of the world. I mean who his a natural welterweight anyway williams, cintron and margirito should be fighting at light middleweight.

140-154 when your fighting the best your fighting the best. If you go up to fight Delahoya at 154 your fighting the best. If Ricky Hatton is coming from 140 your fighting the best. The opponent is what matters not the weight.

so if they're the same size it will be fair if hatton fights cotto to fight him at 140?
