Cotto can just come in over 145 and pay the penalty anyways...

Nobody feels Marquez or Floyd are being weakened by weight. That is a true catchweight fight!

i don't think marquez will come into the fight in top condition (in terms of speed at least), but i don't think it matters anyways.

Last poll i saw was a lot of people see this as a big disadvantage to JMM, even with the huge jump in weight.

WTF????? Is only one pound under what Cotto weighted in for his last fight. He just have to make sure he makes the weight properly. He should come in the best condition of his life anyways. He has the power, but he will need all the speed and stamina he can get. Then, coming fight night he can be around 157lbs.

Cotto can this win this one. Even by KO. But only if comes in the best condition we have ever seen him. I hope he takes his training very seriously for this one.

Why doesn't Cotto fight the P4P Number 1 at his weight. 140.

Because he can't got that low without giving away an advantage to Pac.

SOOO....they meet in the middle at 143.5. NOT Pac actually gives the advantage to Cotto and signs on at 145!

Cotto should count his lucky stars Pac is giving him the advantage. Hopkins or Mayweather Jr have too much respect for themselves to do that. They make their challengers do the work and the grovelling.

Huh? Marquez is coming up two divisions? Common sense says he is going to be like a mini hulk hogan, sluggish with less speed.

Box, boxers don't care about the odds stacked against them, but they do care, and will bet on themselves lol...

Common sense said Dlh would be bigger than PAc, and look what happened.

There's no actual weight limit when all things considered. its a contract fight. they aint paying any sactioning fee under any organization and no belts are involved. the penalty for above weight is probably in the contract with a accept or dont accept cluase to the one whos smaller or makes weight. the bad thing is that the WBO wont recognize a win but will recognize a loss. meaining if cotto loses if he dosent pay the fee after fight or at least contest he may loses his belt.
