Cotto Canelo is an underrated fight

    this fight was a terrific fight with great skills on display and most importantly toughness. Cotto had some huge shots and big body shots and still never backed down.

    Cotto won the fight in my opinion. It was a close fight though.

    This. I had it 7-5 in favor of Cotto. That said Cotto will never get a decision over Canelo. Floyd himself barely won on the scorecards despite easily out boxing Canelo.

    It will take an A side to get canelo to fight outside vegas now.
    cotto should have demanded MSG when he could have.
    the mayweather fight was a clear indication of GBP's influence over vegas's judges.
    oscar DID learn from arum after all...
    he's even using the term "marinate" now...

    Had Cotto and Canelo been the same size I couldn't see Canelo walking away winning that fight.
