How would each of these recent title holders have fared vs Gene Fullmer? 15 rounds of course.

All 3 take a trip to the woodshed. It'd be better to suffer the quickie ko loss than the long sustained lickings a guy like Fullmer would administer.

Fullmer is a notch above Cotto, Canelo & Martinez. Fullmer by decision over all three fighters.

I agree completely with the 3 previous posts....Fullmer impresses me more as the years go by...he would have brutalized all three.

To be sure, Gene Fullmer wasn't a part of the middleweight elite, but compared to him, Cotto, Martinez and Canelo are tin horn, cheap imposters who wouldn't even survive 15 rounds with Florentino Fernandez, who gave Fullmer hell and broke his fight elbow...to make a comparison.

Beats the **** out of Cotto and likely stops Martinez late after struggling early. Martinez seems better off at 12 rounds than 15. Not sure about Canelo. It's hard to tell because Canelo performed well against the aggressive fighters he faced but none were very good; a fight with GGG would tell a lot.

15 rounds I said? Make that 10 rounds,...in fact, Florentino Fernandez would be middleweight champion if he was around today.

It would be shocking if Fernandez lasted 5 rounds against Golovkin.

Golovkin wasn't part of my equation here,...of course GGG would stop Fernandez. I was referring to FF vs Canelo, Cotto and Martinez,....they would fold like deck chairs when his by Fernandez. Those three had nothing of the toughness Fullmer had.
