What has convinced you that Cotto is better at 147? ... What makes you think that Cotto will be any better than Ricky Hatton against Floyd? Its all speculation until that first bell is rung ... i'm sure that Hatton thought that he was going to for sure win that fight against Mayweather. No one is prepared to lose to Mayweather and all think they have the key to beat him.
Hatton got his ass whooped by Collazo. Collazo is a fringe top 10 fighter, to put him into perspective he got schooled by Mosley Cotto beat Mosley unless you hadn't noticed. That just puts Hatton's 147 career into reality for you...
Offically Hatton won that fight by Unanimous Decision ... and to take nothing away from Mosley, but Collazo had hurt his hand during the mid rounds ... Hatton is 1-1 at WW w/ a legit WW title ... if i'm not mistaken that same guy that you're discrediting held that belt that Cotto now holds and vacated it ... Hatton beat the champion (no matter what controversay you create) and he took his belt.
You implied Cotto hasn't done more than Hatton at welterweight, which is bull**** of epic proportions and you know it Hatton had the ****ing fight of his life against Collazo, a B- class fighter. Cotto has beaten Judah, Mosley and Quintana, end of story.
Yeah I did write that ... I said he'd fair well, but that doesn't mean I give Cotto a win or anything. I know that Cotto is game and that he'll put up a good fight, but I don't see him going the distance against Mayweather. I see him doing the same thing that Hatton did. Getting behind on points (first time in his career, he's trailing) and getting desperate - causing him to make many mistakes. He will abandon his defense in favor of his offense looking for something to change his situation ... Thats what I meant --
I didn't mean to mislead you ... I didn't mean that Hatton has done more ... because Hatton run at welterweight had only been 2 fights and Cotto is currently campaigning at WW. You can't base a fighters status compared to another by who he beat ... None of those guys you named Cotto fighting were for any of those guys titles. No matter what you think of Collazo - he was a welterweight champion and he wasn't going ot give up his title without a fight. Judah, Mosley, and Quintana are good fighters but havent done anything in the sport at the time they fought Cotto ... for Quintana he was an up and comer and as for Mosley and Judah, both fighters were on the comeback trail.
Ok Fits how about you take them Floyd Mayweather goggles off, maybe thatll bring you down from that Joyboy high your always on
