All your posts regarding Floyd are a load of hot air, there is no substance to them whatsoever

Collazo held an alphabet, so what? Mosley, Judah and Quintana are better opponents are they not? Please tell me you can see that in your desperate attempt to covertly boost Mayweather's resume by talking like Hatton is the second coming of christ

The only thing left to say is that Cotto is the most deserving fighter out there, and it will be even more evident once he's beaten up Margarito, and I can't wait for your bull**** talk then.

    When did Ali serve time?

    What was Robinson's trouble?

Leonard wasn't doing drugs when he lost to Duran.

Tyson was favored to blow out Holyfield and wasn't worried about prison or drugs at that time

Technical pressure. Not that wading in with no jab brawling that Hatton does. There is a world of difference between the two.

I'd like to ask you the same question. I happen to agree that Floyd would beat Cotto, but I'd like to see more of an explanation of how from you because most of your posts have more to do with talking Mayweather up rather than breaking the fight down technically.

Leonard said it himself that he overlooked Duran ... he under estimated him ... I wrote that some of those guys over looked their opponents --

    Ali - politics ...

I agree, but I don't think Floyd would be cruising to a victory. Cotto has the tools to beat him, but Mayweather's style is suited to pick Cotto's style apart in the long run.

I see Cotto taking the lead in the early rounds, doing a good job staying focussed, jabbing and throwing a few combinations. Mayweather will take some time measuring, and getting used to Cotto's ring movement and fighting rythm. By round 4/5 we'll see Mayweather throwing some flush counter shots, and he'll win these rounds. 6/7/8/9 are gonna be close because of Cotto's effective aggresiveness and pressuring and Mayweather's solid countering and accuracy. Most points will probably go to Floyd though, I think he's gonna try and make a statement by putting some effort in it. The most important factor though, are the late rounds. Floyd will win those rounds.

Im afraid his answer will be along the lines of "Floyd is really really good, and Cotto is really really bad"
Cotto does have a fair chance to win because
    1. He applies good pressure, but he comes in with the jab, a great way to come in without getting tagged much on the way. Plus he keeps his hands up
    2. He has 12 round stamana, a huge plus
    3. He hits vary hard. Floyd likes to give his opponets his sholder to hit. Well that shoulder might be dislocated after 12 rounds of Cotto pounding on it. He has a good chance of really hurting Mayweather.
Im not saying Cotto will win, but he does have a chance. You seem to think that no one in history can beat him

Of course it is all speculation, thats why we want the fight 2 happen... you can disredit anyone's opinion by saying it's speculation, but if u dont care about their opinion why would we care about yours?

Overlooking someone is not out of the ring distraction.

Ali was well past any type of punishment and had already begun his comeback for the big payday with Frazier.

Tyson was geared to destroy Holy from the day Holyfield fought at heavyweight and nothing could distract him from that except Holyfield.

When you become a pro fighter you have to assume responsibility for your career. Taking people lightly is up to the individual. I don't think Marvin Hagler EVER was distracted but he did lose some fights.

I am glad however that you have said that Mayweather is not susceptible to distractions. I figure that if he loses to Cotto or Margo or De La Hoya, distractions is what all the fans will be crying. Involved in WWE, Filthy Rich records, promoting fights, family squabbles. Now we see by what you say that Floyd need not worry about such things.

The straight jab to the pit of the stomach ...

Faints - fainting the jab, then throwing that left hook ... fainting the jab to the stomach then coming up top with the over hand right ...

    Right hand leads

superior movement and ring generalship ... one thing that is constant in most of Floyd's most recent fights have been that he's been pressured - he used to the pressure and is very capable of using ever part of the ring, rather it be against the ropes (where he can effectively counter off the ropes) in the corner, in the middle of the ring.

Floyd doesn't have to be set to throw a punch ... he can punch on the go or off the bounce and will do that alot against Cotto.

We all know that Cotto isn't coming from a boxing stand point is going to use "effective" pressure ... so we can count on Cotto playing the aggressor.

Floyd is also an underrated body puncher ... he punches to the body well rather it be the straight jab to the stomach or the straight right hand to the stomach.

He's also improved on his in fighting and has been doing it as of late ...

Cotto will come forward, use his jab, and look to get inside on Mayweather - but when he over uses his jab - he's going to leave himself open for the right hand over the top and Cotto as of late hasn't shown any defense for the right hand. Cotto doesn't double or triple the jab so there's no need to Floyd to worry about that.

Cotto's defense is none existant and he's never faced a fighter that was faster than him. His speed was equal to SSM's which surprised me during their fight - but Cotto isn't no where near as fast as Mayweather.

I think as the fight goes on - Cotto will find himself behind and in desperation mode. It happens alot when fighters come to a fight w/ Mayweather with one particular thing on their minds. You think you're going to pressure him, corner him, or man handle him ... this is a guy that has seen it all ...

As the latter part of the fight comes around Cotto starts to show fatigue and thats when Mayweather opens up his potshot combonations ... Cotto also will be cut ... he's shown the tendancy to cut (Urkal, Judah, and Mosley) and his skin won't be any different when he faces Floyd. Hatton was the same way and found himself cut after the second round.

At this time Evangelista, the ref, and the ring side physician is looking to stop the fight because Cotto is taking too much punishment and his cut is getting bad.
