Cotto will look good at outboxing Margarito ... he not only matched hand speed with (a much faster SSM/prime or not) he match foot speed and made him look silly when he pivoted ... used angles ... and showed his superior lateral movement.

    Yep, definately.

Cotto needs to go full committal to the body from the outset. He needs to badly hurt Margarito to slow down the freight train before it can build speed. Once Margarito gets going he's a nightmare to contend with.

Disagree, Cotto could/can easily outbox Margarito, but I think he will go to war and eventually TKO him. Even Clottey had Margarito hurt before his hand gave out.

I'll say it again. If Margarito is so easy to outbox an accomplished, talented boxer like Daniel Santos would have done so. Everyone likes to mention the Clottey fight. Contrast the preperation for this fight with the Clottey fight.

For the Clottey fight they were coming off a huge layoff, 10 months since his keep busy fight with Gomez (which didn't go a round). And before the Gomez fight he was waiting around on offers that went out to Mayweather and some others, that lasted about 10 months. Which means Margarito had only one professional round in about 20 months. Top that off with the lack of good sparring (noted prior to the Clottey bout) and the sprained ankle (noted prior to the Clottey bout).

So not only was he very rusty, but also came into the ring with bad preperation and an ankle injury. And he still beat Clottey's ass.

This preperation is nothing like that one. Margarito sees this as the most important fight of his career. He has had 19 professional rounds since july of 2007. One full year up to fight night. The last three fights have been 5 months apart and the next one only 3. No complaints about sparring or ring rust or injuries.

Margarito is as ready as he'll ever be. If you honestly think that Margarito from the Clottey fight will show up on July 26th you don't know boxing. It will be as obvious as round one come fight time.
