Cotto-Clottey, dont see a big size difference (pics)

Clottey weighed 170 with clothes on Chico weighed 160.

He can't blow up that much anymore though. IBF rules say you can't put on more than 10 pounds (or was it 15?) after the weigh-in.

 

Ok. First of all, this is coming from a Miguel Cotto fan. I lived in Caguas a couple of years(left in 2001) and used to see him running in the mornings. And like everybody else in Caguas we are always following Miguel's career.

I think Miguel Cotto should try to postponed that fight at least a month. It's 59 days before the fight and he doesn't even have a real trainer. I think Cotto camp should be at leas 70 day for Clottey. I don't like what I am seeing here. I don't think Cotto will be 100%.

 

No need to make excuses for the man already. He planned on firing his Uncle anyway. Cotto is a grown man, and he's been boxing for years. He knows what he's doing.

 

Thats a good rule to bring in maybe a bit lower than 10

 

Have never given an excuse in my life!!! Boxing is a business. A lost against Clottey will represent a big lost of money. If he will not be at 100% he should postponed. It would be the smart thing to do.

 

You said in your last post that you don't think he'll be at 100% and that the fight should be postponed. That seems like an excuse to me.

Ok genious!!! What am I trying to make an excuse for??? For something that hasn't happened??? Like you said, Cotto is an adult. He makes his own desicions. If he decides to go ahead and fight, and losses, then he can't give no excuses. Thats why I think he has to make the smart thing and postponed to ENSURE he will be 100%. That is called smart planning!!

You might wanna check your facts..He came in around 170 for his fight with Chico..He also came in around 170 for his fight with Zab which was his most recent...For his fight with Tony I think he came in around 165...I'd say around 20 lbs actually:deal

 

A potential loss. Why else would you suggest that the fight be cancelled? No need to get upset. We're all just convesating here. I'm just giving my opinion that your boy doesn't need you making excuses for him. If he loses, it will be because Clottey was the better fighter that night. It won't be because Cotto wasn't 100%.
