Cotto/Clottey Press Conference Stare-down

Clottey is 5'8, Cotto is 5'7 , Size is not much of a factor in this fight .... Clottey is a big of a naturally bigger man, but Cotto is much more skilled and much quicker. Clottey has strength and toughness going for him.

 

True. He hits harder than Clottey and is abit faster. Skill wise? Not so sure.

Clottey has a defense Cotto would beg for. He also has some great skillsets. He completely and utterly outboxed Judah(not saying alot) but still.

Clottey is a crafty fellow. The difference is that Cotto has WAY more of an offensive tool belt.

Clottey better keep those gloves up, and keep moving forward.
Cotto better get back to the basics and work that body to lower those gloves.

IMO it's whoever imposes their will in this fight. I see no clear cut advantages for either.

Its going to be a great fight but I think Cotto has the better boxing skills & should etch out a close but unanimous decision.

 

clottey fights in a style similar to margarito's, but is defensively alot better. he fights in one gear only, but can carry it out through the entire fight. if the old cotto is back with 50% jabs and 50% on that body attack he did so well, clottey is a goner. but i have a feeling if miguel jabs way too much, clottey won't give him that respect and may walk thru his jabs and tire cotto like margo did. if cotto stays on the inside for too long, he'd play into clottey's type of fight where joshua might have an edge. cotto would have to fight very smart and be on his A game to beat clottey which i think he will

 

I thought Clottey would be much bigger. If those are the real heights, Cotto will destroy him. I was previously thinking this fight would be a toss up, but no no

I just realized why they look like they are the same height. His eyes are so damn low on his head that he's actually looking a little up to Cottos eyes, but his forehead is so damn big, his head keeps goin higher then Cotto's.
