    I've read this article about the IBF is pushing for Clottey to fight his mandatory Issac Hlatshwayo... Clottey is most likely to give up his belt to persue the match up with Cotto.

    Lets just hope and pray that the match is still on!:thumbsup

    Right. There might not be unification but they're still gonna mix it up.

    Anyways what are the odds Judah or Kermit Cintron winds up in the vacated title fight?

    He'll fight Cotto anyway as Pimp said, but it's stupid. I'm fed up with this, seems to be an excuse to stop Cotto unifying the division, same happened with Margocheato and his WBO belt.

    I could care less about the titles on the line. Fighting Cotto would generate much more money for Clottey so if he has to I'm sure he'd give up the belt for a shot at Miguel.

    I understand that the fight will go on...The point is, how in the hell can we have a unified champ when the organization is trying to pull stupid anitcs like the IBF is trying to do to Clottey...I mean come on, they can at least let the unification happen and just let Issac fight the winner...That sounds like a good solution IMO but I guess the IBF thinks differently.

    Exactly....The IBF should have at least could have been more vocal about the whole situation before the fight was signed....None the less though, us fans are getting one hell of a fight regardless of the outcome of the situation.:good

    If you go to the IBF website, you'll see that they have specific language that states unification bouts take priority over Mandos. Margo was never stripped of his title, he agreed to give it up at the request of Arum. I'm not sure what's going on here. Someone may have jumped the gun with this story. The IBF isn't always up to date. They may have issued this request for a purse bid without knowing that the Clottey/Cotto fight was finalized(it took them months to figure out Guzman was suspeneded).
