Cotto is blaming everyone for his misfortunes of late BUT he's forgotten the man that not only demolished him but also took his heart Antonio Margarito!!!! Tony was set to make Cotto quit AGAIN!!!!!! till the crooked NY doc stopped the fight. Not to save Tony's eye but to save Cotto having to submit AGAIN!!!!!!!!
Freddie is a great trainer but you must remember the old saying You cannot make a silk purse out of a sows ear!! Cotto is shot

"walking Pinata " huh ??? Before the first Cotto fight they called Tony "The Statue" LOL Cotto got his ass kicked first time & submitted on one knee. In the second fight Cotto couldn't even beat a one eyed fighter he had to rely on the crooked NY doc to stop the fight to save Cotto the embarrassment of quitting AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

That's bull****. Margarito lost virtually every round of the fight and barely landed a significant blow in the final round of that fight. The doctors stopping the fight only helped Margarito preserve his already badly damaged eye.

Funny, after the handwrap scandal, Antonio Margarito was practically shut out in all three of his significant fights. I suppose that's a coincidence.

:good I agree with you on that since if you notice that he beat pretty much the weakest opposition at 154. Wins over Magarito, Mayorga, and Yuri Foreman which is not very impressive at the weight class with guys like Angulo, Lara, Vines, Canelo, Trout, Molina, Baysangurov, Andrade, and Mayweather. He already lost to Trout and Mayweather and if I was him I would drop down in weight and take on some WW that he knows he could beat.

I think Pedro Diaz ignorant move to leave big bear 3weeks before the fight has to have played into this..... vrigil Hunter and many other trainers all said that was a bad move because it made his blood more thick and smudgy and Cotto would have lost all the benefits of working in high altitude.... I think Pedro is amazing still but he can learn on the job with other fighters, Cotto is at his last stage... He cant afford that... He cant afford to be experimented on

Cotto will beat Delvin Rodriguez no matter who his trainer is.

100% agree. As we saw, Trout is the real deal. Cotto doesn't realize he's in the twilight of his career and Diaz did more for Cotto in the the short amount of time he had, than anybody. Roach is a good coach but Cotto is going to share time coaching time with other fighters Roach has a loyalty to. We saw how badly prepared Donaire was when Robert Garcia was more focused on Mikey.

Stupid move by Cotto. I've never been a big fan of his but he really needs to look in the mirror. He's the common thread with all of these trainers he's fired. He comes across as being two faced.

Diaz did'nt do much good as far as stamina is concerned.
Cotto was gassing again against Margarito when the fight was stopped due to the cuts.
It was a blind Margarito who was coming on again when that fight was halted.

Based on their comments it appears Diaz is getting blamed for the Trout loss.
It sure in the hell isn't Diaz fault that Cotto kept eating Floyd's over hand clubs to the head!!!
Yet, they parted on friendly terms?
Isn't Diaz the one who helped Cotto chase his Demons away and renew his confidence!!!

This is a good move...there is a lot of unwarranted love for pedro diaz here. He's a fine trainer of amateurs. And let's be honest...thats all rigondeux is, a supremely talented and athletic amateur fighting as a pro.
Diaz was wrong for cotto who is a consumate professional and offensive minded pro.

Freddie is going to get him back to basics and make the most of the tools that he has.
They are going to mesh perfectly.
