Cotto is the better boxer of the two, no doubt but Jr's size would be too much.

He would walk through anything Cotto would throw and let's also remember that Cotto isn't the same fighter he once was, he stands in front of you much more than he once did.

When he fought Marg the second time, Marg was done. He looked like he was punching underwater and he still touched Cotto a lot, imagine what a young, strong and relentless Jr would do?

I respect Cotto and think he's been a great champion but if I was his handlers, I would steer clear of Jr.

Chavez provides all of the problems Cotto struggles against

Cotto to me looked very good vs Floyd but Floyd isnt Cotto's poison

Cottos poison is a big pressure guy with a hard chin who hits the body and can smotehr him on the ropes

Floyds defensive style allowed Cotto to be active and come inside and not take lots of punishment

but Chavez would come right for Cotto and put punishing blows on him early

This fight hopefully will never happen, 180 vs 160 tops, that just isn't fair.

blatant anti-cotto agenda here. nothing more.

this is horribly unfair to cotto. jcc would walk through everything cotto threw and then club him like a baby seal. cotto is much more talented but he'll get walked down and battered.

Cotto just got broken down by a WW, Jr is way too big, not to mention, Cotto doesn't pack the punch to trouble him

Can't be serious, Cotto would get stopped by Lee, imagine what Jr would do to the much smaller Cotto, joke fight. Why not Cotto vs Lara. Put Jr vs Hopkins at 175 where he should be fighting at.

Some on here would still argue JCC would beat Cotto because he's the better fighter. I actually think Cotto does eventually succumb to JCC Jr in a valiant effort. Does this mean he's the better fighter...no even close, Cotto's overall skill package trumps JCC jr's but the boy/mans sheer size and power would be to much.

it could happen at 165ish. however, with jcc fighting sergio in the fall, it may have to wait if it is going to happen at all. if sergio beats jcc, i doubt jr will get thrown right back in with kelly so this wouldnt happen until some time down the road.
