Cotto demanded that he walk to ring 2nd

Cotto coming in second will set a great crowd tone for the fight. A more involved crowd makes the fight more memorable which benefits Sergio some should he win or even competitively lose. Also, by making it known Cotto has the star power it makes a potential Sergio win seem more significant if he beats an even more hyped late ring entranced Cotto. All of Cotto demands are small potatoes and easily worth it to Sergio.

The reason he is coming in second is he wants to make sure the aisles are kept clear for the stretcher bearers who will be carrying him to the ambulance!

Sergio will use this as extra motivation, Sergio TKOs him, I always liked Cotto but in this fight i hope he gets stopped.

People are taking this way overboard without fully thinking about what walking second could mean. The belt alone is a signification of respect, and so is the title of champion. Walking in second to me is more like saying who is the big boy on campus. And in boxing overall, that's Cotto, people's minds are not wanting to be accepting of Cotto walking in second because they are not used to it as those three things (belt, champ, ring entrance) usually go hand in hand. Cotto does not hold the belt so is not the champ but, does deserve respect, so why be shown that with at least coming out second in the ring walk? Don't see the big deal here.

 

I don't see a problem here. If Sergio doesn't like it, he doesn't have to take the fight. If Sergio is so desperate for a big money fight against a smaller, easier opponent than the likes of GGG then these are the sacrifices he has to make. If Sergio wants to enter the ring 2nd he can fight for less money and/or a more difficult opponent.

 

Does anyone know how much money they're both making for the fight?
