Does anyone have a link to prove this claim that cotto insisted on coming out second>>:think

And if it is true, i cant help thinking it is just a game to get in Sergios head. If it is a mindgame, then it shows what kind of fight they want Sergio to fight. A guy who feels he has been slighted and disrespected will come out swinging until the job is done.......one way or the other.

I dont think it is a smart way to do things, but then im not freddy or miguel. If they are setting a trap, they best not get caught in it themselves.

'Star' was left out on purpose.

There are a ton of 'stars' in boxing. Donaire is a 'star'. Canelo Alvarez is a 'star'. JCC Jr, with his fanatical fanbase, could be considered a 'star'.

Pulling this sort of move is reserved for something beyond that. Cotto does not, nor ever has, fit that bill.

Cotto never won a REAL championship. Sergio is the REAL champ

Cotto is arguably closer to those guys than he is the Mayweather's and Pac's of his era.

He is NOT, nor ever has been, at the level of demanding to enter the ring 2nd without a belt. PERIOD.

With the fight being in MSG New York Sergio Martinez is going to have to stop Cotto or at least put him on his ass a couple of times if he wants to win.
Do you forget how the NY doc stopped the Cotto-Margarito II fight ?? That was done to save Cotto the embarassment of Quitting AGAIN!!!! Tony was beating his chest Cotto was looking gassed & dejected & in steps the doc to stop the fight to save Margarito????? That was blatant

lol, yeah except he's got at least 5 times the ppv sales of Sergio and infinitely more times as the others you mentioned since they have none. Floyd and Pac have their second highest ppv sellers with Cotto and he would still be their highest current seller of ppv now. Your argument is pathetic at best and worse yet your not even embarrassed by it.

'Embarrassing' is believing it's ok for Miguel Cotto to demand to enter the ring 2nd without having the belt. That's embarrassing.

Claiming he's the '3rd best PPV seller' of his generation is like claiming you won a bronze medal in a race against Usain Bolt, prime Carl Lewis, and (in Willie D's voice) 3 blind, cripple and crazy senior citizens.

Let it go, bruh. He's not, nor ever has been, at that level. Period.

BTW - Mayweather's top 2 are ODLH and Canelo. So you might want to check the math.

All these excuses being made for Cotto due to draw power are ridiculous.

He's disrespecting the integrity of the sport, and i hope he gets KO'd for it.

One of the greatest songs ever!

Reminds me. How does James Prince get these fighters to sign with him? What has he really done well as a manager? He didn't do a good job with Mayweather. Not really sure how much involvement he had in Corrales's post-prison career and getting those big-ish fights on Showtime. Why wouldn't a cable network want an exciting fighter with a name like Chico?

How does a reputed gangster like Prince get the "Son of God" to sign with him?
