I've got massive respect for Margarito too. All the "Margacheato" posters can go **** themselves. But Margarito had nothing to do with last night - Cotto, and Cotto alone deserves massive respect for last night.
Hhaha why do insult the tennis sport man. I watch tennis also but was so impressed by Cotto courage yesterday. In the middle round when he took the beating I was afraid that he was getting K.O again but he didn't resign and kept trying for the fans the have a great spectacle.
I admit I was a bit hard on Cotto, but that's only because I held him in such high regard...perhaps I overrated him a bit; even after the Margarito loss. I still consider myself a Cotto fan...but, I'm REALLY disappointed that he hasn't corrected his huge defensive flaws. No upper body movement, no using his legs when he needs to to get in and out. All he did was stand there with his ear muffs on and get countered straight down the middle or he ended up just moving straight back without any offense. If he's gonna box, he NEEDS to be able to fight going backwards. :? His days are numbered unless he fixes these things, cuz he was all too reminiscent of the Cotto that fought Margarito.
:good it drove me ****ing nuts last night, watching clottey's fights his pet punches are a short left to the body followed by the brilliant uppercut inside. cotto should have prepared for it but he was getting nailed by the uppercut like he was bert ****ing cooper
Indeed,Miguel Cotto was,is and always will be a warrior. There were plenty of moments where I thought he would get stopped.
Great respect for Cotto for continuing to fight despite that horrible cut,a lesser warrior would've quit.
