Have you got two eyes? GGG would brutalize Cotto. Too skilled and too powerful.

Kirkland wanted no part of GGG and Kirkland would also run through Cotto.

GG might kill Cotto. They won't ever fight.

No he wouldn't. GGG would destroy him inside a round if Cotto came out aggressive like he did against Sergio. GGG's jab ALONE would turn Cotto's face into a bloody pulp.

it would be a lot closer than people think if ggg didn't have that ko power, either way cotto will not fight ggg. cotto will take a more lucrative fight, canelo, mayweather or pac.

I think you may be over rating GGG to some degree.....he is not that fast and doesn't have great movement after a few rounds!!!

Well of course a fight would be different if you take away a fighter's defining attribute.

Fans today are slow. Look at GGG resume.... You kids get caught up in hype to easily. Cotto is world class. GGG gets worked.

Not sure I understand why posters keep on making these ultra confident perdictions as if they enjoy eating crow after the fights have ended. Most recently Cotto vs Martinez the amount of excuses and apologists I've seen is quite disturbing. Again we have a situation where conventional wisdome leans towards GGG and again I hear the rants and raves of how he would simply stomp out Cotto. Favoring GGG is only natural but to put aside the fact that Cotto would be the most experienced, most fundamentally sound and technically solid fighter GGG will face in the ring would be just plain stupid. In many ways I could see Cotto taking Rosado before GGG did and Cotto would have treated Proska and Murray with the same malice GGG did. It would be an excellent fighter where GGG's punching power would play the role of X-factor.

Just basing everything off resume would make you equally slow imo.

He does have very heavy hands and snap in his punches. He can easily walk down Cotto and rearrange his face with just a jab, and GGG has an iron jaw. Think Cotto-Margarito I rounds 10 and 11....except this begins in the very first round against GGG.

Don't underestimate GGG and overestimate Cotto just because you're Puerto Rican, otherwise you'll end up sorely hurt and disappointed like Tito fans when he ultimately lost to Hopkins.

I'm trying not to look at this fight with rose colored glasses...it could potentially go that direction. However, I do not see the same panorama
    as you do.

Cotto has employed angles and improved his defense. He now sits on his body shots and is a very ( pre-Margarita ) confident fighter....lets see how GGG reacts to those.

If GGG wins....then all the props to him...he is a damn good fighter that many are avoiding!!!

It might be an even fight for the first few rounds, then GGGs power will start to take it's toll.

Golovkin is too damn big, it would be dumb for Cotto to take a fight with GGG. GGG is not old, does not have injury problems, is not an ex welter-weight, has good fundamental skills not too mention huge power for guys at 160 never mind a former 140 fighter.
