i think cotto avenging his loss to pacquiao then fighting mayweather at the end of the year we be better as far as business stand point because when he beats pac there would be more $$ to fight mayweather after then he can call it a career. remember floyd/cotto was the talk before floyd/pac

 

Manny Pacquiao will kick Cotto's ass any time and at any weight. Have you seen manny physical frame? He is small framed, and has been kicking all the bigger guys asses fro years, but his body has a limit. He should really be fighting at 140. It just shows how awesome of a fighter he is. He doesn't have to bow down to anyone else's demands. If you want to fight Manny Pacquiao, than you meet him at the weight that is reasonable to him. I have seen him up close, and he is a small guy, so why does eevryone want to gain that advantage on him. They are all wanting to bring him down, but you should all come down to manny's natural weight, if not why don't you go fight other fighters 10-30 pounds aboive your weight class, and see how long you can keep that up. Manny's already done more than enough above his weght class. He has nothing to prove. Manny is the true champ. Cotto can go get his ass kicked by Mayweather at his weight if he wants. And Floyd will kick his ass. Same type of fight as the Gatti vs Floyd fight.

 

It sounds like Cotto has the upper hand in negotiating this time around, so therefore, Pac needs to meet him at his weight. If not, well Cotto is basically saying I have other options. However, If Cotto really wants to avenge his loss that bad, well than Cotto should drop to 147. Not 145, but 147 for a rematch. Its really that simple.

Pac forces opponents to catch weights, but won't return the favor, ugh...

I wouldn't mind seeing May-Cotto at 154...

I really wanna see May-Martinez at 155...

I doubt we'll see either...

****ing hell Cotto, what's happened to you? You used to be one of my favourites and all you've done since the Margarito fight is either run your mouth, act like a *****, or both. Does Pacquiao fear you? Well lets see, probably not considering he beat the absolute **** out of you, and people want to act like that fight was "close" but it was only close before Cotto tried to push back Pacquiao and got put down twice because of it. Does he really think the outcome would be different if it was 147lbs instead of 145lb? Don't agree to the original contract if you've got an excuse to fall back on, take your losses like a man.

And if you want to be the big boy and fight at Middleweight and challenge Pacquiao, here's an idea; fight some Middleweight fighters. Yuri Foreman/Ricardo Mayorga/Antonio Margarito is not a world middleweight champion's resume.

 

Agreed. It's very WEAK on Martinez' part to call out welterweights - and small welterweights @ that.

If Martinez can't get Baby Chavez in the ring then he should go after one of the top guys @ 168.

The irony is that if Floyd is legitimately willing to face Miguel at 54, then him calling out Pac at 150 suggests that he fears Floyd.

So now rehydration is an issue? Then they should have same day weigh ins in all the fights since rehydration is an issue! If Martinez and Mayweather weigh at the 154lbs limit I don't see a problem with it. After all, Cotto is stating that Mayweather is willing to go up to 154lbs. Why not for Martinez? Instead of using the rehydration BS (and this is for the fans) atelast come up with a valid excuse such as; Cotto produces more money than a Martinez clash, which is more logical than the rehydration BS.
