I haven't argued that at all.

I dont like catchweights. I've said that countless times.

I feel Pac beats Cotto at 147, he should fight him at 147.

    :hi:

Cotto maybe deep down knows their is a possibilty he can lose this fight. Fighting a speedy fighter like Pac, is gonna be different than fighting speedy opponents like Paulie, Zab & Shane. Pac may not be as big a hitter as Mosley & Judah but his activity level and blistering combinations and movement are gonna give Cotto problems. Paulie can't punch through a paper bag, Zab didn't throw enough and his conditioning is always a question., Shane didn't move his damn head. Pac is the opposite of all these things.

well aren't facts the best way to go?

as it's pretty hard to disprove factual evidence.

**but regarding the whole "oh Cotto doesn't want to put the title on the line cuz he's afraid he'd lose the fight"

bull****, if he thought he'd lose, why even sign in the first place? I mean what better way to assure not losing then to not fight vs Pacquiao at all?

if you ask me ^ that looks like a better solution then taking the fight vs Pac .. but choosing not to put the title on the line cuz Cotto thinks he'd lose. seriously "oh he doesn't want to risk the title because it's possible he might lose"

dumbest argument I heard in a while. why fight at all then? isn't it possible for Cotto to lose other fights as well?

the only way Cotto can eliminate the possibility of losing is to not fight .. think about it

if you can assume that much from Cotto not wanting to put a belt on the line

then who's not to say that Roach & Pacquiao are also afraid and thus the catchweight

word for word from Freddie's mouth that he wanted 143 for this fight, to "get Cotto in as low as possible"

    how is that for confident?

Ok I'll give you that. You made very good points, but the contracts are signed. The fight is set. Why say now that he doesn't want his title up for grabs? That doesn't sound like confidence either. Pac gave him the weight he wanted.

wrong, the contracts are not signed so that is not true, as of yet.

and for what it's worth the sanctioning fee Cotto has to pay is quite high

    reported at $400,000 I believe.

Cotto said he's not gonna pay it from what I heard. I could be wrong though. I don't think he should. Just defend the worthless piece of sh*t. Nobody cares about titles anyway, unless it's the ring magazine title. And the fight is official. The date, the venue, etc. That means the contracts are signed.

    im talking about literally signed.

I know the fight date, venue are all set

but when I mean signed, I mean the contracts for the fight, so it's put in ink and made official

unless I've heard otherwise, the fight contract hasn't been signed, which is what I was saying.

**and IMO to say nobody cares about titles is too much to assume, as if the care factor was non existent, why would Boxing Promoters, fighters and etc pay the sanctioning bodies in the first place.

yes there's too many recognized titles, but they aren't completely worthless, it depends on the current champ, and how they came to be champion.

I love it when a bunch of posters are wrong, even when their own boxer puts them in their place.

I guess even Pacquiao agrees with me.

not too late. the WBO would probably offer to sanction the fight at a much lower fee.

Maybe around 10 to 40,000. Its not over yet.
