its been stated that miguel cotto is waiting till 1st quarter of 2011 for his return, suppose to fight chavez jr in dec but it seemed as though chavez jr opted out, cintron vanes was the next thing but miguel said with all due respect 2 those fighters he doesnt feel the motivation to train for them. he will instead sit out the rest of 2010.
hbo is pushing arum to get a date for miguel asap as he had the highest ratings the last 2 years with the foreman fight. arum and cottos advisor have sat down and discussed the possibilities knowing miguel only wants the major fights, margarito pacquiao and chavez jr

:nono from what iiiii heard it was Cotto who opted out of the fight against Chavez jr........because he wanted to take a break from his shoulder injury :deal

from what i read was that arum thought it was to close after the pac/margo fight to put the card together for what ever reason and chavez jr wasn't really ready for the fight now.

I genuinely admire and respect the heart of cotto. He's been through fights that other boxers would retire from and still remains competitive.

the "what ever reason" was Cotto's shoulder injury.

They used the reason that Chavez jr. didn't go with Roach to train in the Phillipines (even though i don't see how that could affect cotto in any way) as well as his shoulder injury so that they can call it off. :good

    it's on espn.com/boxing :deal

It is hard to hate on a FIGHTER who is willing to step into the ring with everyone.
    (Win/Lose who gives a ****!)

    For me...
    Margarito, JMM, Pacquiao, Mosley ect....
    Also fit that bill
