Show grace in defeat. "I am very proud and very happy I was able to give the fans a great fight," Cotto said. "Life continues. It's not over for me. I'm going to take a long rest, decide what to do next. This night was Margarito's night. He's an excellent fighter. He did his job better than I did." That's why Cotto is so beloved. He is tough, determined and honorable even in his darkest hour. He'll be back.
I'm a big Cotto fan, but I give all props to Margarito. He fought like a true Mexican Warrior tonight. He has whiskers of steel
Cotto showed zero immediate grace in defeat. He stormed out of the ring and refused interviews to HBO. His fans wanted to hear from him.
Give the guy a break he just lost his first fight since the 2000 olympics, your not in his position so you have no right to judge.
Hell yes. Huge, huge props to Margarito. He's amazing and presents serious problems for any boxer, active or retired. But I do think we should give a nod to Cotto's braver, gutsy performance and his grace in defeat.
That's why he's got REAL, LOYAL fans... a great man is winning a great man in defeat... Imagine Floyd losing a jabfest to a younger DLH - that's not the way for a defeat... Cotto gave everything, looked damn good for rounds, but Margarito was too much. Props to him! Not the end of the road for Cotto.
Definitely here and won't be going anywhere, fully proud of Cotto though he made some silly mistakes in there but full credit to Margarito for taking full advantage of them. Hope he takes a good long rest and comes back to business soon.
right here till i die you lose and you win some but i will die a mother ****ing rican till i die . and big props to margo and his fans it was a grate fight. nothing but the best out mexicao and puerto rico.
