The last guy with no defense made Cotto kneel before him in the 11th.

According to who...? And what about the volume punching midget who rearranged Cotto's face?

That midget was all wrong for Cotto, not the spaz Williams.

    No chance!

Hype job??? He beat Martinez; a "loaded gloves" Margarito; dominated Verno Phillips; and dominated Winky Wright (whom no one dominates).

If he is a hype job; then Martinez, Margarito, Philips, and Winky Wright were all hype jobs!

i hope more clowns think that a 154 cotto can beat williams. that would create a better line. i see the fight as cotto at +275, at least.

cotto looked extremely small at 154. he wasn't even close to looking like mosely, who really did nothing at 154 himself.

cotto is only fighting 154 because he has no other options.

a motivated williams will destroy cotto.

Cotto is a real boxing champ. He always comes to fight, and has the skills to not need to take advantage of an injured fighter. Especially one like Yuri who is average even on his best day. I'm pleased Cotto was given an easy paycheck fighting this B level fresbe head.

A fight against Williams will be hard. But it will be easier than fighting Martinez, because of their styles

the winky fight is tainted as he hadn't fought in over a year and a half and had just endured a serious beatdown by hopkins.

regardless, i agree. the foreman fight really proved nothing other than the fact that cotto is not completely shot and can still beat journeymen gatekeepers.

i don't know what everyone else saw, but what i saw was a blown-up welterweight who looked small...pernell whitaker small.

    he looked very, very small.

Williams has a long range jab but I think Cotto gets inoside on him and would be ale to pound away at him. quintana timed williams. I think cotto could do the same. but he would have way more power at his disposal.

On the Flip side, Cotto doesn't do well when facing volume punchers, and PW is defitnately a volume puncher.

If you thought Margarito looked big next to Cotto, imagine what Williams would look like...

Williams has a fantastic chin and punch resistance...he took everything Margarito dished and didn't get KO or wobbled, not many people can say that, including Cotto.

this is true but cotto's jab is way better than people give him credit for. williams wouldnt be able to tee off against him.
