Cotto fighting at 154 is a terrible idea. He should stay at 147 or retire.

I am not gonna bother addressing your points 1 by 1 because frankly I cannot be arsed. It takes time to quote each point and I really cannot be bothered with that.

Teenage, again you are making yourself out to be a fool. Here's one for you, im 25, past the teenage thing now arent we? So I guess here it is, Im right, you're wrong, and ive proven you are wrong. Your obviously not very good at this prediction game are you

Sure you backed Calzaghe, to be honest I do not give a **** whether you did or not. You called me an idiot for picking Cotto over Floyd, I'm merely pointing out that I've been called an idiot plenty of times before, using calzaghe-lacy as one of the examples where 80% of the board picked Lacy and I was absolutely certain Calzaghe beats Lacy.

Did I say I was the only one to pick Calzaghe? NO. But my point stands, people are only perceived idiots before the fight because all people can do is assume the result as if its certain, nothing is certain. I have never called someone an idiot for make a prediction outside the box, as in this case Cotto over Pbf. Heck Pac is the strong favourite against Clottey, I wouldnt call anyone an idiot for picking Clottey over Pac, even though Im certain Pac takes it. Its easy to assume, but at the end of the day, results talk, if I called Cotto beat Floyd and they somehow fought and Cotto got so embarrassed it is clear he would loose 10/10, then you may have the right to call me an idiot. As it is, you say Im up myself...well, seems like your the one up yourself here.

Of course I have been wrong, when have I ever said I havent been wrong? I said that if Im certain about something, ie have seen enough of both fighters, know exactly what stage of their career their on, and can make a certain prediction, then I have never been wrong. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being wrong in a perceived 50/50 fight, its guesswork, some things just cant be analysed, such as just how past it someone is without seeing them a few more times.

Yes Pac's akwardness did help against Cotto. Call me an idiot, bewarethedog just repeated my sentiments exactly. Cotto was caught with punches that came from an akward angle, that usually doesnt come from other fighters. Pac's speed, akward style, his southpaw style and of course his power all troubled Cotto. And when did I say it wasnt his style, what are you that stupid to think his "akwardness" is merely a product of him fumbling around the ring and doing akward things by accident? No. His akwardness is his style, his style is akward because its not of the norm. Just because he practiced that style over and over again and seems perfectly natural to himself doesnt mean most opponents wont find it akward. You can see it all the time where he gets that flurry of combinations from, Roach training him on the mitts, in fact most of his moves you can see him training on the mitts.

God you are a dumb ****.
Pac an offensive monster took 12 rounds to stop Cotto, Mosley a powerful puncher couldnt stop Cotto, yet brittlehands PBF is gonna stop Cotto.

Your saying Cotto doesnt possess the skills or blueprint to beat PBF, yet at the same time the blueprint or "skills" laid out to beat Cotto, PBF doesnt possess anyways. So where does that leave us?

You say Cotto's jab is not great, he out jabbed pac, out jabbed Mosley, KD Clottey with a jab...****, Im going with great. If not great, better than Floyd's. Who has Floyd exactly outjabbed? JMM? He got out jabbed by Judah, out jabbed by Oscar.

Anyways Im tired of this rambling BS. You call me an idiot for thinking Cotto is capable of beating Mayweather, whilst at the same time I think Foreman stands much less of a chance of beating Cotto than Cotto beating Mayweather, yet here you are claiming Foreman has a good chance of beating Cotto, am I calling you an idiot for that opinion? I think you got something up your arse mr. zen master.

Put up or shut up. Lifetime ban bet on any fight we can agree on.

Since you are not willing with Cotto-Foreman despite making a thread on it, find me another fight you seem certain on?

    Mosley-PBF?
    Pac-Clottey?
    Kessler-Froch?
    Khan-Mallignagi?
    Gamboa-Caballero?

Whatever, if we can find a fight we can disagree on with absolute certainty, I will gladly take any form of bet with you.

PBF would never do to Hatton what Pac did. In fact, in order for PBF to knock Hatton down, Hatton literally had to leap into the punch doubling the impact.

Oscar has an iron chin and he didnt exactly say Floyd hits harder did he? Also its worth noting that height probably decreased Pac's power in that a bit, punching straight up can do that. The biggest factor would be the weight jump too, Pac is much more of a solid WW now than he was for that fight, people forget he had to jump from LW to WW in that fight. Heck, the Pac of the Hatton fight looked bigger than Pac of ODLH fight, and just looking a pictures, Pac of Cotto fight look's a lot bigger again. Also, it could just be hype but Roach started making predictions about knocking out Cotto easy because he felt Pac's growing power on the mitts. Like I said, could by hype but seemed genuine that Pac was indeed increasing his power with the weight. I think this is evident in his last 2 fights.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't think he should stay at 154 either.

Hey, if Cotto stays at 154 and fights one of the top fighters there, let's see how he goes. It's one thing beating an injured Yuri Foreman, it's quite another taking on Paul Williams. Before Foreman sustained his injury, the fight was going pretty much exactly as I thought it would :good

PS: I'm 100% up for this, so let's make sure we find a fight that suits.

I couldn't be bothered responding to the rest of your post, I didn't know you had replied again back then. The fact remains that any informed poster knows that you're a '**** for your comments on a potential Mayweather-Cotto fight, and that I was the voice of reason there. Floyd would completely dominate him, then break him to pieces.

I'm glad to be proven right for once. I said from the beginning that Cotto is just a better class of fighter than Yuri, and this would be an ideal match-up for him considering what he's been through with Pacquiao and the loss of his father. It wasn't a worthless victory, his opponent was undefeated and the WBA Light Middleweight champion of the world...Cotto has many options now.

I had Cotto up 5-1. He was dominating the fight with his jab, and every time the distance shortened enough for Foreman to land some combination's it was he who was getting caught with the showier blows. It was impressive to see a fighter like Cotto box so confidently after coming off such a devastating defeat. He was out-jabbing the taller foreman, cutting off the ring expertly well, and he still showed the capacity to throw nice compact combination's when he had too.

Yuri was well on his way to losing on the cards something like 11-1 or 10-2. Academic.

I meant that u said the fight would have been diferent if the injury hadnt occured, I dont believe so, cotto was dominating the first half of the fight and there is no reason to believe it would have been different otherwise

I was not as impressed by Cotto, nor did I view or score it like that. In saying that, I much prefer Cotto as a fighter and I loved the punch that ended it. There aren't enough bodypunch specialists these days. I still think that 154 is a bad weight for Miguel, and that he'll get creamed by a top light-middle, but I'm pleased he's back in the big fight mix again. I suppose he could rematch either Mosley, Margarito or Clottey next, or there's Berto.
