    Sadly, people fail to see that Pac came out trying to catch Cotto cold in the first round, something that people have been able to do in the past. Cotto was on point and did not allow him to do that. In the 2nd round when Pac came out boxing on the outside and using his in and out motion and Cotto was also boxing, Pac won the round big and landed several hard shots. Then in the 3rd Cotto had to try to be more agressive or face the risk of being outboxed all night, and he had some success until Pac adjusted once again, countered Cotto coming in and decked him twice.

    Exactly...whatever plan Cotto went to in that fight, Pac would've had an answer for him. I don't buy into the "...but Cotto used the wrong strategy - he should have boxed" bull****. He boxed early, and was beaten handily in the 2nd round and like you said, he had to be aggressive and try to slow Pac down using his size advantage.

    Cotto can fight Pac any way he likes. He doesn't have the overall skill, timing, or durability to beat him under any circumstance.

    I dont think cotto has changed all that much albeit giving a bit more movement. He needs to work on his right hand and his defense. He's too mechanical , needs to let his hands go more and be more dynamic. He would get beaten up worse in a second Pac fight. I think his punch resistance has gotten worse and worse with each fight, not that it was ever great in the first place.

    As much as i hate to say it, he loses again, maybe he survives the fight. Would hope it to be a bit more competitive.

    People forget that it wasn't Pac's aggression that sealed that fight.
    It was the way Pac neutralized two things:

    1. Cotto's jab through his overhands and straights, and;
    2. Cotto's punching power, by bulking up. (notice however that Pac was still bloodied in one ear, a true testament to Cotto's devastating hook)

    So unless Cotto puts on his bicycle the entire fight and pot shots to a UD loss for him, Pac would still shut him out or get another TKO.

    This is the thing so many people overlook when fighting Manny Pacquiao , when you fight Pacquiao you fight his fight , Cotto picked Mayorga apart with superior boxing / punching for most parts of the fight " AT HIS PACE " , Cotto does not fight well when he's forced to fight at his opponents pace . Technically Cotto has improved under Steward thats not up for debate , physically he is still Cotto and Pacquiao would demolish him just like the last fight .

    Its a pointless fight and the world will agree after Margarito Cotto 2
