    Ain't gonna happen.

Manny ain't into training that much anymore. And I think he knows that Cotto is a bit past his best.

Although highly unlikely Nacho Beristain would be great. Manny might be good as well. After the disgraceful actions of Sr. after the Hatton fight i do not think he meshes well with Cotto.

Manny was practically begging Cotto to let him train him for the Pacquiao fight.

Possibly. I could see him not working with Cotto. That said, Manny was very much into training Cotto. I bet he'd make an exception.

Cotto is pretty much perfect for him.

    Really?Don't know that.

Do you think he'd train him now after that loss?I'm not so sure.

IMHO, Cotto has taken one too many brutal beatings in the past three years and should stay away from the ring for a while if not retired. Im telling you, he has not be the same since the Margarito fight....A new trainer is not going to show him anything that he doesnt know already....

Floyd Mayweather Snr doesn't seem to give a toss about his fighters, so I'd hate to see Cotto team up with him. Not to mention the fact that Cotto isn't suited to his style of training. I don't like Manny Steward either, he has a nasty habit of trying to change a fighter from his natural fighting style. Buddy Mcgirt would also be a horrible choice, that dude seems to hold a curse over his fighters.

The trainers I'd like to see Cotto team up with are unfortunately very unlikely. I think Roach would do wonders with him, as he would recognize and appreciate Cotto's strengths and style of fighting. Not to mention his tactical advise, now how deadly would a Miguel Cotto be with an actual game plan! Which of course brings us to Nazim Richardson, who like Roach would bring that added strategic dimension which was obviously lacking in his only 2 defeats.

But like I said, hooking up with these two is highly unlikely. However there is another man, and a couple of people have already mentioned him. Nacho Beristein could do very well with him, and the obvious problem of language barriers will be non-existent.

But like we all know of Cotto, the success of the relationship with the next guy, will be dependant on him allowing the trainer to be the boss
