I agree in regards to the matchmaking, we can say what we want about Top Rank but their match making is top notch....

But, it was confirmed that the deal is for 50 Million, that is a lot of funds right there.

That's a very lucrative deal then, muchos dineros to him. I just wonder if Haymon was able to make Quillin drop his belt rather than defend it in a mandatory that Roc Nation won the bidding of, and now that Cotto has seemingly burned bridges with Top Rank, that leaves Cotto's options to Canelo and GBP's stable as potential opponents,...and of course Golovkin.

What do you think about Manny hiring a audit team and being told top rank owes him a lot of money.

Or how about PACs recent tax problems.

Or the fact that the top 2 earners in boxing left top rank and became possibly the richest boxers in history (#1 athlete in pay)

Look, we both know PAC is a boxing icon, and in terms of pay he should rival floyd. He's more exciting, humble, easier to market and comes off as a hero to the Philippines. Yet he's having financial issues. You don't think Manny might be getting ripped by arum and his top rank manager who only look out for each other? Are you too obsessed with PAC that you can't admit he has made some bad business moves?

No Cotto on the books at TR, no Chavez jr, Pac nearing retirement.
Introduction of Roc, Haymon. TR will hold less sway. This can only be a good thing.

I'm glad he's doing what he thinks is best for him financially, but I'd like to see him against GGG. Defend your belt, champ!

Why is Cotto acting as if TR didn't revive his career after 2 back to back loses and got him a shot at the MW title?

I'm all for Cotto making decision that benefit his career but one must see how or why TR would be disappointed. Cotto had them negotiating back and forth for a bout with Canelo that Cotto had no intentions on taking. He wasted everyone's time.

The classy thing to do would have been to approach Todd and Arum and disclose the offer that Roc Nation offered him and see if they were willing to matcc. If they couldn't then they cant blame cotto for moving forward.

Not to mention I recall a vid of Cotto thanking TR and saying how he credits them for his boxing career and plans to retire with them. Maybe Bob is right and Cotto did go back on is word.
