all ill say is after watching the quality of HBO's coverage last night and how good at the job roy jones is i cant envisage me ever being satisfied with the current sky crop
TBH I find most American commentary teams are a lot better than the Sky crew. Sky arn't that bad that they spoil the occasion/ fight but they don't really add much to it either.
Cotto is very strong minded and i can't see him being talked into a Margarito rematch. He's always said he'll never fight him again and give him another payday. I'd love to see him anihilate Margarito though and give him a bigger beating than Mosley dished out, i'd do everything to be at that fight. As for Berto, until he stops lunging in to clinch and hold he will always be there to be knocked out. He's been lucky to get away with it so far but as soon as he fights an elite or even a world class fighter they'll catch him coming in and put his lights out.
Agreed on RJJ as well, he was outstanding last night. I enjoy the fights so much more on HBO/Showtime.
im glad i stayed up but its not like you missed one of the great nights of boxing , but still very enjoyable
Can you blame him? Cotto's taken some awful punishment since beating Torres - the guy just doesn't make easy fights. If he can prolong his career by using a measured approach early and only opening up when he has his guy going, I'm fine with that. He's a really watchable fighter (total homo).
Cotto became less flat footed than normal. Maybe he was comfortable with taking the shots from Foreman. btw..Did foreman trip at first? What happened at the second fall? That was odd..he kept fighting on ..but Cotto was winning by a mile or so.
The first one wasn't a slip, his leg just gave way and buckled under him which would suggest a serious underlying problem with the knee. The 2nd one was a slip in Cotto's corner, although he might have lost confidence in planting the foot after hurting it earlier and this wouldn't have helped things.
