This is my first thread so go easy on me guys i mostly read other peoples threads because i enjoy reading about what other people have to say or their opinions.. all i wanted to say was i hope Cotto can come out on top Saturday night and like every real boxing fan i hope i only hope that win or lose Cotto or for that matter any other fighter can still have his health after the bout.. that being said i really hope Cotto with the help of manny steward Miguel can reinvent himself at super welter weight and hopefully have a good run and somewhat of a fresh start in a new weight division.. honest opinions who takes this fight?? i think cotto has a power advantage but he's gonna have 2 get past yuris reach advantage first.. what do u guys think?:bbb
nice first post , Cotto take sit imo , but its a bit of a toss up becouse of the many intangibles yuri is young and undefeated fast and a proficient boxer , cottos is coming off some tough grueling losses , but now has steward in his corner , but all in all ill go with my man cotto ps have you heard of the great SNV?
cotto will win,im certain....yury doesnt bring nothing on this fight.....manny is teaching cotto something that are going to improve his moving,and ,like i said no disrespect to yury,he will be alright..but not this fight!
My only worry about Cotto is his stamina. Although Yuri will do most of the running, use his jab and move, Cotto should cut him off quite easily, hopefully get inside and start unloading those hooks to the body.. Yuri is too soft to hurt Cotto.. Cotto's been in there with bigger punchers.. Hopefully Cotto can get in there early and show Yuri who's boss! Worst case scenario would be Cotto eating jabs all night.. I think Cotto could drop him, hopefully with some nice body blows..
