Cotto gets hit by 50% of power shots? Orly?? I guess the Mosley that went into that fight with the most 1 dimensional game plan of all time really expected to win a boxing match throwing his right and nothing but his overhand right?? Cotto's defense is clearly underrated and to date Cotto has made everyone fight his fight and he has had a plan A B and C to outbox his opponents. So guess what Mosley's 50% landed on Cotto didn't mean jack **** he was simply outboxed. And believe me Mayweather won't knock out Cotto and he isn't going to be pulling off all that unorthodox jumping lead right crosses either. Trust me it will be a different fight, a fight where Floyd will have to put his track boots on because he is going to find out real quick what Cotto is all about. Floyd can't work with Cotto on the inside like he did with lil'hatton he can only beat him on the outside. Lets see who will have the more authoritative jab.

I really can't see Hatton beating Cotto at any weight.

I see him beating him at 140 because unlike torres who knocked Him down hatton is different at 140 and a weight drained cotto, hatton may have too much for him.

Cotto may have underestimated Torres but he wouldn't make that mistake against Hatton.

YOU GUYS ACTING LIKE HATTON IS FAST WHAT PLANET ARE YOU ON ?
I HAVE TO DISAGREE WITH YOU BUDDY I THINK HE'S JUST AS FAST IF NOT FASTER THAN HATTON AND DEFINATLY MORE POWERFULL LISTON HATTON DONT WANT NOTHING WITH COTTO HE BETTER JUST STAY AT 140 BECAUSE IF HE STEPS IN WITH COTTO AT 147 HE WOULD NEED FACIAL RECONSTRUCTION JUST ASK PAULIE & THAT WAS AT 140 MIND YOU PAULIE IS MUCH FASTER THAN HATTON.

    1) Cotto is better on the inside - more fluid and lets his hands go more. Plus, when he's on the inside, he is excellent with his body/head attack. Hatton, on the other hand, mauls and clinches, but doesn't let his hands go much.

    2) Cotto has a much better chin at 147. Hatton was rocked and out on his feet against the light hitting Luis Collazo. And he was knocked out by Floyd Mayweather. Cotto was never as hurt at 147 as Hatton was in the 12th against Collazo and he's faced bigger punchers with better handspeed (Mosley and Judah). Quintana hits harder than Collazo and couldn't hurt Cotto. At 140, Hatton's chin is a lot better, but not at 147.

    Holy **** balls Batman!!!

Did I read someone saying that Hatton is more skilled than Cotto. Was that a joke :huh

I think Hatton is an excellent fighter brings the pain and the pressure but who in their right mind could even utter those words? I've been around boxing for years seen all types of styles and my mouth dropped when I read that post. Let me go back and see who it was and I will stamp that name in my head and remember not to ever take anything they posted seriously.

One can surely argue the fact that Hatton may be quicker more aggressive, relenting but to say he is more skilled is blasphamy. Someone ban that man. :yep

Funny thing is I totally respect Hatton but I'm still shocked at the earlier post...I mean jesus just put Hatton in front of Mosely would Hatton be able to box Sugar the way Cotto showed with crisp right hands and a shotgun left jab off the back foot and the balls of his feet....could you even picture that??????

Question: WHY DID COTTO LOOK BETTER AT 147?

Answer: Because he didn't fight Oscar De La Hoya or Floyd Mayweather
