    Because Cotto got his money so he will start taking the MW route with soft touches ..I personally would have no issue if he didn't have a MW belt but this fight is an utter joke ! He'll rematch Trout this would be better than this ****!

    But this is modern boxing. Where the lineal 'champ' fights the dude who was just slaughtered by his number 1 challenger, instead of fighting the number 1 guy and the one whos constantly calling him out, and people call it a good fight.

    Fans don't have any standards anymore. They pretty much take what they can get and say thanks when boxing ****es on them. Then they are happy to make excuses and precedents for the ****tyness to try and pass it off as acceptable.

    Cotto is fighting way above his natural weight

    I think people should sit back and see if a very talented small guy could have success against bigger men

    Thats how people should look at Cotto at MW imo

    Plus Geale is one of Golovkins best wins so this isn't all that bad of a fight even if Cotto was a natural MW

    Geale has not had a big win since 2013.
    Lee has caused a few upsets.
    I can easily see an argument for Lee over Geale but not by a large margin.

    Cotto was given an optional opponent before fighting GGG and he wants to exercise it. Let's see what he does after this fight first. Cotto has never ducked anybody and moving up to fight a lineal Sergio is not a cherry pick. He didn't know Sergio's physical state he took a chance and it paid off. Blame Sergio for selling the belt to a WW.

    A decent fight actually. One assumes the winner is to fight Golovkin, he's still WBC mandatory isn't he? Providing he beats Monroe Jr obviously.

    This is actually a decent enough fight and better than some other options mentioned like Bundrage.

    Geale is rated pretty highly by most and, unless he is a shot fighter, might end up beating Cotto.

    The catch weight just seems pointless and does taint the fight some. It would be nice if Cotto wins for him to face Golovkin next but you just know its gonna be Cotto-Alvarez next(which is a great fight) unless something strange happens.
