That's bogus. Cotto is fighting for a vacant belt it has no meaning...unified my ass.

I knew someone would bring out Sam Langford. How many Langford fights have you seen?

You clearly don't know what the **** you're talking about as a matter of fact every post you've made in this thread is full of misinformation. Cotto quit against Margo and even said as much in a interview posted here.:deal

When he wins it and if Margarito beats him again he will be unified champ by having 2 belts. That is if the mandatories don't kick in.

a clip or two, but does it matter? he was a great fighter because of his resume, maybe not a great fighter when going on toe to toe basis compared to today's guys only because the sport has changed.

the same thing applies with charley burley.

Once again, to make it perfectly clear ... THE FIGHT WAS OFFICIALLY STOPPED BY MIGUEL COTTO'S CORNER IN THE 11TH ROUND OF A FIGHT SCHEDULED FOR 12!

    That is FACT!

You point out ANY POST that I have made in this thread that's misinforming, and I'll show you the proof behind the post!

    Show me?

I never said he didn't clearly win the fight, I said he wasn't outclassed. Cotto was the favorite against, Margo. I guess he wasn't suppose to lose either. :nut

Oh god I got the round wrong, the world is over!

Cotto allowed his uncle to throw in the towel. He admitted in an interview afterwards that it was his call to stop the fight and that he did it for his health and his family.

Do your homework before you post eh?

Cool, we can have a unification fight with Margarito once Cotto beats Jennings.

    :huh

He'll get a title. Means more money when facing every guys you want (Margarito or Williams or Clottey).

What would you do? Having a chance to get a tune up (after a crushing defeat) AND a title at the same time.

Cotto said that he quit because he didn't want his family to see him get stopped and take more punishment. We had a 20 page thread about this very topic here already.:deal
