I think apart of Cotto's success is committing to his punches ... but in this case I think that Gomez' jaw is pretty solid and he's been hit by bigger buys. Cotto has been rocked by the lovemore n'dou, and ricardo torres' of the world.

 

People laugh when you point out that Gomez stood in front of Manfredo and traded shots, but it really is a testament to how big of a guy he is. Cotto is small comparable. People might be shocked at how hard of a fight this MIGHT be for Cotto. :deal

Gomez is good not great.He is in an entirely differant league come Sat. night.He will be brave and take a man sized punishment.

 

I will not discredit Cotto you can check my past posts ... I think that even if he loses -- he's still in the drivers seat to fight PBF ... the fight will happen no matter if he wins or not. I don't think that PBF is going to deny him that fight ... just like when Judah lost ... the buzz was so strong for that fight, that it still had to happen.

Cotto if anything - in a loss might lose some mils off that purse when he faces PBF but thats about it.

Gomez has shown nothing special in his previous fights. He is a standard 1-2 boxer that is able to trade when its to his advantage. Cotto is going to eat this guy up. This will be his best performance since the destruction of Quintana from years ago. :happy
