cotto had a chance to fight floyd at 140 his handlers said he wasn't ready same as mosley he had his shot and backed down.the only reason cotto would fight him now is hes "money" mayweather same reason hatton didn't take the fight at 140 but called him out after he beat oscar they know they can't beat floyd but they'll sell their 0 for the right price

    pbf 8round ko over cotto:deal

Yea like every one like to see a green rookie like Cotto face a veteran like Floyd, nahh at that time that fight was a joke, right now Floyd vs Cotto make sense. Stop the same **** already.

    lets see...

cotto a prospect who had just won his wbo title 23-0 vs the p4p number 1 already 3 division champ.

i think his management made the right division, what promoter would put his prospect in with the p4p number 1?

watch boxing much? didn't think so.

you dont want to see the 2 best welterweights fight? didn't think so either, you're not a boxing fan, you're just a lil white boy who saw floyd on mtv and then on wwe and decided to be a fan.

HEY LARRY WHAT IS YOUR ALL TIME TOP 20 P4P LIST?

I think when Floyd asked for that fight Cotto had less fights and i think he wasn't a champoin by then.

but then agian in 2005 cotto would have been a perfect opponet for floyd ..

as floyd has shown ..."out of prime...underskilled ...or over matched i'll fight them all"

Prospect? Cotto was going on 25 at the time. He was also top 3 in the division and held a paper title. Why did he go to the Gatti/Mayweather fight? Maybe he's just a Floyd fan.

No by that time Floyd had no interest in Cotto, he was seeking Hatton or De la Hoya, he asked for the Cotto fight when Floyd fought Corley by that time Cotto was a up and coming.

Cotto go to the fight to see him fight and cheek if that fight can be made but after that Arum bagan to have problems with Floyd and backed up because he had no guaranties if Cotto lose., and well the performance make Arum think twice two lol.

maybe, why does jack presscot go to oscar de la hoya fights?

so reg are you telling me it wasn't a smart move?

regardless of age cotto was still a prospect, 23-0 had just won a paper title like you call it, if you were his promoter would you put him in with the p4p best knowing he doesn't stand a chance?

"By the time we make (Miguel) Cotto-Mayweather it'll be Leonard-Duran all over again,'' Arum said wistfully. "We'll build it for a year until it's as big as Leonard-Duran with the Latinos.''

This is what Arum said in 2005

floyd fans....you guys dodge me like a bunny in head lights!!! ...answer my question

if the majority of you think cotto dosn't deserve a fight now ..and that he isnt good enough now to get a fight ... how was he good enough and how did he have his chance when he was younger? even more unskilled?!?!
